Incredible image. Also incredible that the vast majority of white Christians in this country align with the men in camo.
I told the Reverend he made me proud to be a Christian.

This sort of ties into another idea I’ve been kicking around, that if I was an actual theorist I’d take a shot at writing up coherently: we have freedom of the id, when we need freedom of the superego. We live in the tyranny of revealed preferences, totally disregarding expressed ones as legitimate.
I’ve become pretty unapologetically elitist in principle when it comes to media (implementation is of course a whole thing). It is far more democratized than it’s ever been, the market is better than it’s ever been at giving people what their revealed preferences show they want, and it fucking sucks
it's cool that the future of politics is this

putting aside the trans rights issues specifically (lol), I think part of what has me so frustrated with the Newsom thing is that Pritzker, Walz, and Zohran are putting on clinics for a popular, progressive politics and we’re wasting time talking about this used car salesman ass goblin.

In this thread, I lay out more than a dozen facts about Trump and his child-molester friends Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.
I challenge you to read the whole thread and then decide what the odds are that Trump did not abuse girls or tolerate his pals Epstein and Maxwell doing so.

RIP to a true legend
With Tom Lehrer's passing, I suppose this is a moment to share the story of the prank he played on the National Security Agency, and how it went undiscovered for nearly 60 years.

The bare minimum for the 2028 candidate:

- Pack the Court

- bring back J6 and docs cases (they were dismissed without prejudice!)

- Bribe takers and bribe makers jailed

- DHS abolished

This is the Wide Awakes minimum. You can quibble about timing and sequencing, but these have to happen.
