Podcast journalist, editor, train nerd, unapologetically trans and queer. Will likely rant about a movie or Discworld at some point. Ride or die physical media defender. 35 (they/them).
I do not condone his actions but hoo boy, Andy Capp makes a good hot fry.

I love that two of the achievements in Mouthwashing specifically require cracking open the dev console and using cheats.

That's the kind of video game pervert behavior I respect.

We need a modern AU of The Sopranos just so I can hear Paulie mispronounce "skibidi toilet" as "Schenectady toilet."

the drum I have been beating since TIME IMMEMORIAL
Repeating the wisdom of @shomarq.bsky.social and @itswil.bsky.social when I say, god bless every podcast that has a press kit easily accessible on their website.

You can tell the computer is wrong because one would expect @cdiganon.bsky.social to just be one giant circle in the middle.

"I don't know if anyone would read what I want to write"

Random House spent money on publishing a prequel to the 160+ Boxcar Children novels where the kids go through their parents dying.

They published the Boxcar Children equivalent of Martha Wayne's pearls being ripped off in that alley.

William from Bahamas is possibly the realist person there is and he's paper letters in a webcomic.

You can tell Google is working fine as a company by how my Gmail has been telling me I have a package arriving today containing two blurays I received weeks ago.

And each morning Gmail's AI bullshit comes back gleefully telling me I have a package arriving today.

These four screenshots sum up why I haven't bothered with the Fallout show yet: every single screenshot I've seen has been characters in run-down Fallout-esque environments, but their clothing and faces are so pristine they look green-screened in even when they're physically there.

It's too clean.
A new Fallout Season 2 trailer features New Vegas, a Deathclaw, Kumail Nanjiani and Macaulay Culkin's mystery characters, whispers of a civil war, and more! Watch here: gameinformer.com/gamer-cultur...

Season 2 of the Sopranos is quietly about how Carmella is taking the better part of a year to read half of Memoirs of a Geisha.

Me, considering writing a review of Cloverpit: I love how this game has just the right amount of grinding for achievements but keeps it fun and fresh.

Cloverpit dev this morning: Hey we updated the game to make the grind and reliance on random chance more intense.

I started reading Ranked Competitive Breast Growth last night.

I knew I was going to like it from the writing style on the first page but then Katherine reveals her closeted roommate has a literal glass door on "his" closet and that sealed the deal.

Few times have I lost respect for a writer as much as when the Back to the Future commentary revealed the Bobs regretted putting Jennifer in the car at the end because it "forced" them to go to 2015.

Like it's such a weakling argument, the idea Part 2 HAD to go to 2015 because she's in the car.

I'm gonna say it: unless Tony starts literally running a deli at some point in the next four seasons, I feel like y'all really oversold the amount of gabagool content in The Sopranos.
Nearly done with season 2 of The Sopranos.

I'm liking how this season has done some mythmaking for Tony Soprano The Public Figure. It's good to remind the audience that there's a reason the normies are terrified of him after season one did a lot of undermining of that by showing his neurosis.

You can tell Democrats fucked up bad by how there hasn't been a single Edmund Fitzgerald post on my timeline that isn't also a joke about the shutdown being for nothing.

(Gabriel remembers this, the following is to you)

Hey remember when a company rolled up with a "warchest" of $100,000,000 claiming they were gonna fund so many podcasts and then they made like five audio fiction shows? One of which never actually came out?
Every New Startup: We are here to revolutionize fiction podcasting. We are here to give indie fiction creators the support they need to make their shows a reality.

Fiction Podcasters: The money we need to - ?

Startup: No, not that that.

Most of them do not need help getting connected to actors or musicians or technicians. Chances are they're excited to make art *with their friends*.

What fiction podcasters actually need help with - the thing that stops shows from being made - is lack of budget.

Budget to pay for all of the above.

This question is central to the way I approach covering trans issues.
When folks write things designed to make you panic, you should take a breath and ask - is this designed to make me engage? Or is it actually trying to inform?
