its a convergence of female pop stars from katy perry onwards, anime waifus, video game characters, and of course porn
Tangentially, I remain perplexed by harcore gooners' collective taste in women. Not that mine is conventional, mind you, but so often they seem to be chasing a half-remembered impression of male heterosexuality, as if they feel they should find women attractive but don't
"And I never say no"

We need to have a serious talk about the way "AI companion" apps not only prey on the vulnerable, but are priming their users to ignore consent and to conflate love with control.

We need AI regulations across so many sectors, but this area is particularly horrifying.

"Why did God let Trump be president?"

He gave us two thousand years advance warning of the antichrist, made him the individual with the most readily accessible, up-to-date public information about his multiple shortcomings ever, and gave us a mulligan the first time.

We were given an out.

Jesus, can you hear me? Good, the comms are working. Now, you're gonna need to run if you want to evade those Roman soldiers. Hold down A to sprint. Go ahead and try it. ... Good work! You just might be the savior yet. Now pick up that AR-15 and let's do some target practice.

maintaining the fiction that cbs news would remain relatively objective under her leadership was a *lot* more important — to the admin, to cbs news, to david ellison and to bari weiss — than killing this story was, and it’s incredibly funny she didn’t know that
the shitstorm that’s already brewing because of Bari’s decision to spike this story is going to end up being vastly more damaging to her and to the admin than allowing the story to air would have been

she’s an evil propagandist hack but she is also very bad at doing it in a way that isn’t hamfisted

I do not think there are many Americans that care that Venezuela nationalized their oil industry and I don’t think it is a good idea for Trump to be talking about it because it could give the American public ideas of what to do with American oil and gas

Trump on Venezuela: "Getting land, oil rights, whatever we had -- they took it away because we had a president that maybe wasn't watching. But they're not gonna do that. We want it back. They took our oil rights. We had a lot of oil there. They threw our companies out. And we want it back."

Living through the OWS period when everyone was like "okay if a McDonalds charged just a little more per order we could pay $15/hr" and similar claims about food, and then the moment that started actually happening (Ag and CDL jobs with HUGE increases) people said "Fuck this, fuck you, fuck off"
It is what it is but I’m not sure how easy it’s going to do things when the majority of the electorate is just like “make it 2019 again”

There’s a real competition on who builds the biggest heat pump.

It just clicked in my head that if the RAM shortage continues as it is, it's going to be literally impossible for most people to upgrade from Windows 10 systems to ones that run Windows 11.

So Microsoft is going to be pushed to add another year of Windows 10 support or face public crucifixion.
