Hot take, but I think if you have an audience, you are responsible for that audience because they're a reflection of you.

If folks are in your spaces harassing other people, especially on your behalf, and you choose to do nothing about it, you're letting everyone know that's acceptable to you.

Literal years of disabled people BEGGING senators and MPs to listen to them that death would be offered before the necessary care, and they brushed us off.

Only for the obvious inevitable to happen.

We fucking told you. Multiple times.
What now?!

Please engage in disability justice.

Listen to the concerns of disabled people who speak out about these programs.

Fight for our right to a dignified life instead of only fighting for a dignified death.

No one should be offered death in lieu of treatment.

No one should be offered death when they’re asking for help.

It’s coercive even if they have the “right” to say no, because if no other treatments are offered they’re going to experience tremendous suffering.

It’s not because we oppose dignity in death.

It’s not because we’re against bodily autonomy.

It’s because we know we live in a deeply eugenicist society that doesn’t value the lives of disabled people.

We’re seen as “useless eaters” and have to constantly fight for care

A woman in Saskatchewan needs surgery for a parathyroid issue and is being offered MAiD instead.

There’s no one in the province who can perform the procedure and the government won’t pay to send her elsewhere.

This is why disability advocates warn about assisted dying

Let’s go back to a 16th century way of thinking. And while we’re at it, let’s violently oppress the child.
Of course they put this behind a pay wall.

“There are moments when I catch myself wishing she would just discover she wants to live as a boy,” says Ruby’s mum, “not because I doubt her identity but because I fear for her future in the UK."

If they aren’t a registered charity and they aren’t registered with the Fundraising Regulator (example logo below), it’s probably one of these scammy orgs where the ‘profit’ is a tiny fraction of the money you handed over and some bastard gets rich on your good intentions. Give to a real charity.

Him: We raise money for charities and the profits go to the kiddies.
