I also wouldn't be surprised to just see an executive order that declares AI companies' ability to ingest copyrighted works fair use or exempt from current copyright law, just to further embolden the firms already doing this, weaken opponents' resolve, try to set precedent and deter further lawsuits

Seems the new standard for being called a traitor in this Age of American Misrule is to fly more than three dozen combat missions in Iraq for the U.S. Navy, then command the Space Shuttle as a U.S. Astronaut, then serve in the U.S. Senate, and remember that Russia attacked its neighbor, Ukraine.

I can't help but think that, regardless of your position on the breathless claims made for AI, one area LLMs and the existing technology are ideally suited for is to moderate and fact check social media platforms. Odd how there seems little to no interest in talking this up...
