Yes, of course. Any system where you pass judgement without giving reasons will be much worse than one that does. Those denying that are denying reality.

My latest: Move over bat tunnel, here’s the wild story of how HS2 were forced to build a multi-million pound bridge for a road that… doesn’t actually exist.
How HS2 built a bridge to nowhere
A state-of-the-art road bridge has been built deep in the heart of rural Buckinghamshire. Designed to carry traffic over the HS2 railway, there's just one tiny problem - there's no actual road.

The annoying bible basher at Bond Street has got on the train as well.

People who shout nonsense in public are usually arrested and sent to get psychiatric help.

But add the word "Jesus" to your demented rantings and its a get out if jail card.

Fines for breaking the law (etc) should be related to your income/wealth, as is applied in Norway -- but without the £1000 upper limit as applied in the UK to car speeding.

Otherwise, the law doesn't apply to rich people, it's just a mild inconvenience.
Do you have any extremely niche, but serious, ethical stances?

I prefer “anti-fascist“ for a host of reasons and this is a nice practical one.
I think we really should stop using antifa and just fully say anti-fascist and get them saying they are against anti fascism. Using antifa is giving them some distance and I genuinely think some of their base don’t even know that’s what it stands for.

Am game for this if I can play a Tory loyalist who won't fight and knows deep down that if we fail to gain independence, we'll end up no worse than Canada, a commonwealth entity with better health care, a lower poverty rate and relatively sane, coherent politics. God Save The King.
What does it take to be a Revolutionary War reenactor? Caity Weaver traveled across New England and to New York’s Fort Ticonderoga, put on period clothing, and shot a musket to find out:

It's not that China is inherently the stronger or more resilient economy.

China has been preparing for an economic showdown with the US for 10 years.

Meanwhile, the US government didn't know what it's opening salvo would be two hours before Trump fired it.

The rail routes a St Pancras upgrade could open up – if there were fewer hurdles
Efforts to smooth cross-border train travel might improve the experience, but direct services from London to Switzerland or Germany are a long way off
