the fact that multiple reports have suggested a fear that republicans would follow trump’s demands and abolish the filibuster motivated Ds to fold is incredibly damning and is a reminder that the senate itself is a major problem for those who want to save & revive american democracy.

An sad feature of American culture is the blinders they wear.

Other countries have solved the problems that Americans are made to believe are unsolvable.

Instead of learning they chant "WE'RE #1!" while they go bankrupt from medical debt and do active shooter drills in kindergarten.

This reflects an authoritarian indicator we identified in our assessment: assault on public knowledge and civil society. It mirrors Cold War propaganda, presenting a whitewashed, idealized past to define a desired future, reinforcing who is valued and who is excluded from economic opportunity.

Trump gave $40 billion to Argentina.

The government would reopen if Trump simply approved $30 billion in enhanced ACA Healthcare subsidies. It's literally less than 1 Argentina bailout.

Look at the receipts: GOP plans slash Medicaid, nutrition aid, and research while protecting tax giveaways and backing vanity projects like a $300M White House ballroom and a Qatari luxury jet retrofit. Their message: austerity for you, luxury for them.

Trump’s economy suuuuucks.
🚨 CNBC: "Announced corporate job cuts surging past 1 million so far this year, with 153,000 new layoffs just in October according to Challenger. That is the worst October since 2003."

This is, unsurprisingly, nonsensical. Is he suggesting eliminating health insurance and giving people a few thousand dollars instead? And then when they get a cancer diagnosis they just go bankrupt?

He is so unserious. That's why we are shut down and Americans know it.

Students held at gunpoint by Trump's masked thugs at York High School in Elmhurst, IL, right outside Chicago.

An unidentified car blocked the students in the parking lot

Pulled them out of their car at gunpoint

It was one month & local Patch the only one reporting it

Should be a national story

Stop trying to engineer the “perfect” type. Start recruiting people who can actually connect with the people in front of them.
