The only QB in history.
It's rather impressive how Trump reignited goods inflation, which has generally been on a downwards slope for years.

That is an interesting way to show efficacy and if I was them I'd roll that into their marketing, like "save $500/year on groceries (and my guess is even more on fast food not purchased)".
"Households with at least 1 GLP-1 user reduce grocery spending by 5.3% within 6 months of adoption, with higher-income households reducing spending by 8.2%...most food categories see spending declines...concentrated in calorie-dense, processed categories, including a 10.1% decline in savory snacks."

The thing that bugs me here is the ease with which he lies. Up is down. Slavery is freedom. War is peace.
This issue alone is going to cost them seats in places they don’t expect. They don’t understand the grass roots anger and hostility there is about this, and billionaire CEOs of Cantor Fitzgerald like Lutnick aren’t going to fool them with their con men sales pitches.

I want to raise a few issues with this ...

- The unemployment rate was 4.6% in Nov 2025.

- There are 982,000 more unemployed people in Nov 2025 than in Jan 2025.

- There are 271,000 fewer federal government employees.

- 982,000 > 271,000. More than 3 times more unemployed.

In the past ~50 years, times when:

-Residential detracted from GDP contribution
-PCE added at least 1% to real GDP growth
-Unemployment rose QoQ
-U3 was sub-6% (remove the deep recession periods)

Bulls can point to 1995/96, bears to 2007 and arguably 1989.

It's going to be fun to watch the government report 4% gdp growth, flat job growth, and slowing wage growth, and to see how voters process that.
NEW: US Real GDP came in at a 4.3% annualized growth rate in Q3 2025. Consumption & government output increased, investment declined slightly (mostly due to inventory drawdowns), & the trade deficit shrank

Nominal GDP growth (unadjusted for inflation) came in at 8.2% annualized

When Trump was inaugurated, four-in-ten plurality said his policies will make them better off financially

But each time we've asked about finances since April, half country says he's made them WORSE off (48-51% vs. 17-21% better off)
