Kirk helped bus in rioters that nearly lynched congress.

It's like they've collectively decided none of that happened.
National day of remembrance for Charlie Kirk motion passed the Senate by unanimous consent.

Zero Democrats objected, which would have stopped it.
Tommy Tuberville is presiding — and smirking.

if someone quotes Leviticus saying gay people should be stoned to death, and calls that "God's perfect law," it's accurate to say they called for gay people to be stoned to death. Likewise, it's inaccurate to say they never called for it. bc I can parse language and understand how humans communicate

A friend of mine was on Charlie Kirk's "watch list" of Black professors. She received so many death and rape threats that her university offered her a security detail for the walk to class.

This is Kirk's legacy.

You would never know it from reading all of these legacy newspaper op-eds about him.

So as it turns out, there is such a thing as a perfect victim, but it's exclusively when the guy is so tremendously horrible that it's "inappropriate" to quote his actual beliefs in the context of his death, making him entirely above criticism forever

What's stopping non-students from going on campus and chalking sidewalks? Asking for a friend.
10TV also reported on the chalking ban. Pranav Jani, representing AAUP-OSU, explains: “We have to fight for every inch of free speech — it’s like a muscle, you use it or you lose it. If we give up our paths for free expression, then we will actually lose those paths.”
Ohio State bans sidewalk chalking ahead of new school year
Some people said the decision is limiting students' freedom of speech.

Measles high infection rate is the reason we have not yet been able to eradicate it. That rate means you need a very high vaccination rate to prevent outbreaks. It is possible, but not with current levels of institutional distrust.
The average person with the flu gives it to around 1.4 people. The average person with measles gives it to between 12 and 18 people.

Measles cases continue to surge globally, putting millions of children at risk.

More than 10 million people globally were infected with measles in 2023, a 20% increase from the previous year.

The "he's not gonna listen to her" reactions are missing many points. Lots of other people are also hearing it. Lots of people can see him hearing it, then weigh what she's said with what he'll do. Lots of people can see her refusal to surrender these ancient teachings to the latest face of empire
Rev. Mariann Edgar Budde to Trump: "I ask you to have mercy upon the people in our country who are scared now. There are gay, lesbian, and transgender people in Democratic, Republican, and independent families, some who fear for their lives ... and the vast majority of immigrants are not criminals"
