Just a legal historian here reminding everyone that “high crimes and misdemeanors” do not need to be felonies.

They can include political abuses and stupidity, like, hypothetically, destroying the economy and wiping out people’s savings in 3 days.

TAPPER: You're imposing a 10% on the Heard and MccDonald islands. They have zero human inhabitants. Why are you putting tariffs on islands entirely populated by penguins?

ROLLINS: Whatever. Listen, the people leading this are serious, intentional, patriotic, the smartest I've ever worked with.

If you still believe these reckless tariffs will somehow make you better off in the long run, you’re either an oligarch or an imbecile.

Donald playing golf every weekend isn't just an opportunity to ignore the problems of the American people, it is also an opportunity to rip off the American taxpayers.

Here is a bill the Secret Service got for staying at Mar-a-Lago for a few days in his first term.

42 rooms at $396.15/night.

Corrupt judges let a criminal get away with treason and run for president. Propagandists masquerading as journalists lied to enough people that the criminal won. Then the criminal sold a half share in the presidency to the world's richest man, whom no one voted for. That's what happened, folks.

Uh guys? NBC just found out a DHS staffer accidentally added a journalist to an email thread about an ICE raid in Denver. Yeah, a completely separate incident.

THAT staffer is being punished — so why aren’t Hegseth & Waltz???

Well done, @keating.house.gov

A true ally doesn’t just watch—they stand up.

I’ve accidentally misgendered someone at my daughter’s school before. It happens. The moment I realized, I apologized and made sure not to do it again.

Rep Keith Self did this on purpose. He meant to be hurtful.

One of the best and highest uses of a government is to provide goods that are uneconomical to be produced locally but have massive surplus if produced at all. Particularly notable examples include:
* disease and weather forecasting
* basic science, esp in energy/health
* natural disaster insurance

A federal judge just hit the brakes on Trump's ridiculous executive order aimed at a top law firm for daring to represent Hillary Clinton's 2016 campaign and for supporting causes that don't align with his twisted agenda. Justice prevails, at least for now.

Judge blocks Trump from enforcing 'chilling' order against law firm
While Trump's executive order takes aim at Perkins Coie, the judge said it "casts a chilling harm of blizzard proportion across the entire legal profession."

Son: Are we better off now?

Dad: Well son, mom & dad have both lost their jobs. Our savings are gone, gas & grocery prices are up. We did, however, save you from drag queen story time.

Son: What's that?

Dad: A mythical thing they said was happening in your school, which we can't afford anymore.

DEI is fascistcode for “the Civil Rights Act of 1964.”

That’s what’s under attack.

Don’t let them lull you into thinking that it’s “only” policies aimed at addressing the white patriarchal ableist mediocrity that has been our nation’s default and giving others an equitable shot.

(“Only,” ha.)
Aside from The Noah being a full time fascism apologist, it will always be hilarious to me that DEI—which in practice has mostly consisted of motivational posters mildly suggesting the most reserved incrementalism imaginable—represents the bedrock of fascist claims to legitimacy.
