If exposure to fear & pain actually "healed" trauma, as the "tough love" types insist, then every survivor would be healed by now-- because we know from fear & pain.
It's exposure, PLUS skills, tools, philosophies, & support-- that is, recovery-- that ACTUALLY heals trauma.
