Wow. Everything is awful! The Dart Center is, or I guess WAS, so important for journalists who cover and experience trauma in their work. Columbia, what a sad, sad demise.

Needlework isn’t a grandma hobby, it’s a balm for the soul and a creative outlet! Support your local crafters and craft stores this holiday season!
Hobbies offer numerous benefits, but crafting comes with special ones. “Detailed hobbies create small zones of predictability, which regulate the nervous system and restore a felt sense of agency.”

I imagine New Orleans going to war against ICE as being a bit like Andrew Fox's The Good Humor Man...it'll come to the point where even Carnival floats will be used in Fury Road fashion to feed the people and outrun the pigs.

The cops must hate ICE (at least these ones) because they'd never arrest one of their own for a crime against a woman or girl
An ICE employee was among 16 men arrested after trying to solicit a minor for sex in Bloomington, Minnesota, police say

"When he was arrested, he said, 'I'm ICE, boys,'" Bloomington Police Chief Booker Hodges said during a press conference. "Well, unfortunately for him, we locked him up."

Thread illuminating something that's been in the back of my mind through all of this Epstein mess: it's dragging a perfectly good name through the mire and drowning it.
This is not actually important to the world. (But hey, this is my bsky, I can make it about me for a sec.) My beloved grandfather z"l went by the moniker Eppie. It was his med school nickname from Karlova University in Praha / Charles University in Prague in the 1930s. (1/)
