Late in 2024, Kathryn Vercillo of Threadstack and Create Me Free sent me some intriguing interview questions which I used as journaling prompts between liver infections. The interview is now online for all to read.

THREADSTACK Interview with Lia Pas of The Slowest Thread
"When I'm symptomatic it helps to visualize what I am feeling and "dissect" those sensations to make them less overwhelming. Freehand stitching those sensations feels like a meditation practice."

What do people do with their old compression socks?

My new ones compress better but the old ones don’t have holes or anything. With other socks I sometimes make wrist warmers from them but the even the old compression is a bit much for my arms.

Send a message to Danielle Smith about how her personal views are over-riding those of experts at terrible costs to the patients of those experts and to freedom for ALL of us.

Using the notwithstanding clause to deny Charter rights and interfere in people's healthcare is dangerous (and cruel).
Moments ago, Premier Danielle Smith's government made a terrifying decision and introduced legislation to suspend the charter-protected rights of transgender young people in Alberta.

Now is the time to act. Visit www.stop-smith.ca to sign our petition denouncing this draconian erosion of freedom.

We report: we felt cold, so we walked fast, and now we feel too warm. This is the way it goes. In the clouds, corroding steel wool is unraveling, scratching up the whole sky across. Whatever bird we see is flying near the ground. We hear hail coming in the distance.

"They have a degree in underwater basket-weaving" is meant to be a statement that someone lacks useful, marketable skills.

The phrase *may* originate from a 1956 article on traditional Inuit/Yupik weaving technique where bark remains submerged between stages of weaving, to keep strips pliable.
