Akl Council became a Living Wage Employer this week, it was celebrated at the Trusts Stadium last night. The media jumps on & amplifies every employer bemoaning minor lifts in the MW, which is poverty pay, yet employers who pay decent wages rarely get a mention but their detractors get a megaphone.

I’d love to know exactly why Premier House is uninhabitable. Does it leak? Did a previous tenant trash the joint? I was at an event in the ballroom there in 2019 and it seemed in pretty good nick.

I’d love to know exactly why Premier House is uninhabitable. Does it leak? Did a previous tenant trash the joint? I was at an event in the ballroom there in 2019 and it seemed in pretty good nick.
