I really really want to stress that novovax is the covid vaccine preferred by a lot of people in the disability advocacy space. Disability advocates have pushed hard to maintain access for this vaccine that's not as well known as Moderna or Pfizer, but is better tolerated by a lot of people
This isn't a new product. It's an updated vaccine to account for new strains and viral evolution. Are they going to do this for all COVID and influenza vaccines yearly? Because that effectively shuts them down. There isn't enough time between identification of strains included & release of vaccine.

Mel Brooks is so great. Even Mel Brooks bits that don’t work are still enjoyable because it’s done in such a pure spirit of loving goofs. When Patrick Stewart shows up in Men in Tights and says John is now slang for toilet you can tell he loved saying that more than any Shakespeare he’s ever done

this is right up there with the McDonald’s coffee lawsuit on the list of pop culture jokes where all the important context was omitted. there’s dangerous equipment on an arena stage! the M&Ms are a test of HOW MUCH ATTENTION YOU PAID TO THE DETAILS OF A CONTRACT FULL OF ARTIST SAFETY INFORMATION
like Van Halen's "a bowl of M&Ms with all the brown ones picked out" contract rider

if the venue thought the M&Ms weren't important enough to do their due diligence on, what else in the contract did they think wasn't important enough to do their due diligence on?

Social movements are more likely to have success when three factors are present: elite conflict, shifting public opinion, and elite blunders.

Mass collective action can create the conditions for these factors to emerge and deepen.

People genuinely do not understand this and we just have to keep telling them. Over and over and over!
In other words, when you ask for example “do vaccines cause autism?” you are looking for information about whether a thing in the world (a vaccination) produces an outcome (autism). But the LLM can only answer “what words could sound right after this?”

Underwater scenes had been popular since the 1890s but had been achieved via sets, props and even shooting through a water tank. This film was properly in the ocean.
