This is why I’m pushing for a state escrow account that holds federal funds before sending them on to Washington. If Trump wants to steal our tax dollars that were legally appropriated by Congress, then we should just be paying ourselves.

It's a basic misunderstanding of Socialism. The end goal is not "nobody can own expensive stuff" ideally it would lead to "Everybody can afford whatever they want".
Now you still have to work and save for it, but it is achievable because your basics needs are met, unlike in the current system.
