Made my day that on the Stuff article about urban gondolas (www.thepress.co.nz/nz-news/3504...), there were already multiple monorail references, so I didn't need to add one.

The furore around Oasis reforming and playing live has kind of obscured the fact that Boys Wonder are doing exactly the same thing later this year to celebrate the 35-year wait for the release of their album. If you don't know Boys Wonder, then you really should. There was nothing like them in 86-88

In the early days of Twitter there wasn't a Like button, so people used to retweet or RT posts much more, which in turn helped you find new people to follow and helped build followings.
Hoping people will repost more so I can find good accounts to follow.

Local MP posted a letter she sent to NZTA basically saying it's great that since the speed limits were lowered there have been no fatalities or serious injuries on our road into town, but surely we can put up with a few deaths or maimings so people can get into town 5 minutes quicker. Sigh.

I made this Pride flag using only NASA images and our team thought it would be cool to share on social (I work on the NASA heliophysics communications team), but it's getting all sorts of hate on the bird app and Fbook. Thought y'all might be more appreciative of it here. ☺️🏳️‍🌈💖

Whenever we begin to wake up to how we're being screwed, conspiracy fictions distract and confuse us and send us back to sleep. So why DO so many people obsess about false stories, but ignore the real ones? In the hope of finding out, I wrote this www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle...
