to be honest, I wonder whether I should worry about the algorithmic pricing for folks who depend on instacart for their groceries. I have more pressing financial challenges. TBH, (embarrased) I go to the grocery myself. Maybe they could too. (grin)

Instacart admitted it was using AI to charge different people different prices for the exact same items. Algorithmic price gouging. That scam could cost a family of four $1,200 more a year.

I worked in a developmental disabilities program in the 80s. That long ago we had many million dollar NICU babies in our program with their families getting the supports they needed. Preventing just one of those premature births would have funded our services for a year

Just a very basic fact check- "international waters" is NOT permission to kill people. There are global regulations that prevent people from just getting away with murder there. If a US citizen commits murder in international waters, they can still be tried/convicted in the US. It is still illegal.
