So say goodbye a little longer like I ate a piece of Big Red
Grew a mustache the size of Mike Ditka's forehead
Hair combed to the side looking like a piece of foam

Polish sausage, bratwurst, walking like my cock hurts

Incorrect, Kennedy shot Oswald.
Today is the 62nd anniversary of JFK being assassinated by a trained marksman firing a close and unobstructed volley of shots at a slow-moving and unprotected car, hitting a target who could not physically move. RIP, President Kennedy.

Pete Hegseth announces Operation Southern Spear.

There doesn’t seem to be reporting yet on what this means. But I assume it’s not good.

John Laws is dead, so as well as remembering him for outrageous on-air statements and the cash-for-comment affair, let me take this opportunity to remind everyone that in 1976 he released an album of country music covers called You've Never Been Trucked Like This Before

It reached 69 on the charts

When I was a kid, I used to believe "there's no way private cars would be allowed if they were introduced today and people saw the rate of accidents/deaths", watching these stories pile up is like a giant slowly-but-steadily unfurling banner that reads "think again, buddy'

you mean the geniuses behind the Electoral College?
The American framers and thinkers of that time were so well versed in Roman history and the dynamics that led republics to perpetual dictatorship -- this generation more likely to think the problem with Caesar is that the buffet is overpriced

Review | Don’t be duped by the biggest buffet in Las Vegas
Caesars Palace promises a luxury buffet for $107. It still values quantity over quality.

90% is abt the US, the rest is Europe. There's little voices from the global south. The significance of X/Twitter in the history of the internet is it was once a platform for activists from the global south to get global attention for their movements/revolutions. BlueSky will never be that, but X
It really needs to be more international. 90% of what I see here is US politics, even though I follow a ton of people who know and care about other parts of the world.

some real 2017-level Fascism Understanding going on
That Trump and Trumpism are fascist doesn’t explain the sheer vandalism of unleashing mass murdering mayhem via RFK to replace medical/scientific institutions of immense value and prestige with medieval peasant superstitions. That is a criminal madness facilitated by but above and beyond fascism.
