As someone who has tried to keep this argument alive, I find that it still resonates with most people! It’s just drowned out by all the screaming from the right. But we have to keep making it.
kind of just endlessly sad and grieving that there are so few voices in the public sphere making the basic principled argument that immigration is an affirmative good in every way and the best way for this country to serve humanity is to welcome people who want or need to leave their homes

Terry Moran being suspended by ABC News is ironic given Moran went out of his way to not embarrass Trump over the president’s delusion about the doctored MS13 photo, repeatedly saying ‘let’s agree to disagree’ and ‘let’s move on’ but they still got him suspended. You can’t appease these people ever.

We were at the federal detention center in downtown LA. They deployed some type of chemical irritant that made people cough and we had to mask. The people here were mainly attorneys, family of those being detained, and two members of Congress. @NormaJTorres

This is the fundamental problem and misunderstanding that leads people to say "the rules don't exist!" like, they do exist, the issue is summoning the political will to apply them even in the face of bad-faith accusations of bias and lawless threats
Right, the insistence that clearly written parts of the Constitution just didn’t apply to Trump has been there from the start.
