We're doing a lot of work behind the scenes. This is just one piece of the puzzle, but it's an important one.

Thank you all for supporting us in our work to protect trans rights.
Along with a man and a woman who are trans, and someone who is intersex, we are suing the EHRC and the Equalities Minister in respect of the disgraceful and unlawful EHRC guidance.

In line with our transparency principles we are publishing the full 32 page legal letter. goodlaw.social/2ihj
We're bringing a legal challenge to the EHRC’s ‘Interim Update’
A number of trans and intersex individuals have today begun a legal challenge to the EHRC’s ‘Interim Update’ following the For Women, Scotland decision

Rather a lot of organisations who, driven by foolishness or ideology, forced colleagues into the wrong toilets following the 'interim guidance' of the EHRC are going to have some explaining to do. www.thepinknews.com/2025/05/15/w...
Top UK university says trans toilet ban published in 'error'
Warwick University has said it is 'deeply sorry' for temporarily updating its trans toilets policy to exclude them from single-sex spaces.

Reform is a Limited Company

Farage owns 53%

It was formed in 2019 to push for a “no-deal Brexit”

It wants to reintroduce the Liz Truss budget

It wants to privatise the NHS

& invest in fossil fuels

Close the BBC

& break International law

It’s a scam

We don't think the interim guidance published by the EHRC and pushed by Bridget Phillipson is lawful.

So today we've started legal proceedings against them.

Being trans isn’t a mental illness.

But if you’re one of the bigots who thinks it is… why the fuck are you bullying trans people who - you believe - have a mental illness?
It’s so fucking ableist and disgusting, it’s unreal.

There is a very tight deadline for them to get it published!

Let's make sure we flood it so much they miss it!
The EHRC are really going to try and rush this through

Remember when they forced us to have 3 whole consultations on the GRA Reform because the result kept supporting reforming it?

We are going to have to be so intense about this. Completely flooding it and also fighting against them rushing it
Update on this:

The consultation will now “aim to launch 19 May and close on 30 June 2025”

So it’s now six weeks instead of two.

This Pride Month let’s make our campaigning centred around contributing to this consultation.

This increase might allow some larger organisations firm up policy during AGM season before sending their response. If you're in a union or any other large membership org - make sure they know they can respond!

I also voiced my concerns to Nia Griffith MP about the consultation window on the statutory guidance being too short. And the irresponsible speed with which the so called equalities watchdog was pursuing statutory guidance. Mirroring the lack of genuine engagement we saw from the court.

So they've caved on the consultation period but they're still, unsustainably, maintaining the law is clear.

Some days ago, I said this was going to be the (very well funded and very powerful) anti-trans lobby's first big mistake. And I see no reason to withdraw that prediction.

I want to ask every one in the Labour Party a question:

When stopping immigration doesn't appease the far right, what's next?

Rounding up and deporting immigrants already living here?

Then what? Deporting their children?

Where does this end?

How can you put your name to it?

The critical point 👇🏻 is that (contrary to what the ideologues contend) service providers and employers can and should be continuing to offer *inclusive* same sex services including toilets. If they refuse they will expose themselves to real legal risk.
Very pleased to say, we've at last managed to get up some practical guidance on what the For (Some) Women Scotland decision means.

Tl;dr it's absolutely *not* what the bigots in Government or the bigots leading the misnamed EHRC are telling you. goodlaw.social/1c68df
