Stella O'Malley was literally recorded expressing her desire to subject trans teens to conversion therapy in her own voice. If her case is going to be successful the court are going to have to flatly negate reality which is a big ask.
Stella O'Malley, with this High Court action, may finally have bitten off more than she can chew. Suppression of an experienced therapist's compassionate &well-evidenced difference of opinion seems a curious hill to choose to die on & risks a big Streisand effect!

What this piece lets out of the bag is, whatever is driving the far/right's hatred of trans people it is absolutely, positively not a desire to protect women from sexual violence. They are happy to celebrate a perpetrator of sexual violence, so long as he shares their hatred of trans people.
He boasts about being a sexual predator, he's been accused by 25 women of rape, harassment or assault, a jury found he "forcibly and non consensually penetrated Carroll's vagina with his fingers," he supports banning abortion.
But he hates trans people and so the Times calls him "a feminist hero."

This absolutely! At @transhealthie.bsky.social we hear from so many people who feel that they don’t have the requisite skills, knowledge, or experience to get involved. The reality is that anyone can be an activist, an organiser, a creator, a builder. You don’t need a special background to do it.
Any time you feel like you 'aren't allowed' to start organizing.
Any time you feel like you don't have the experience.
Any time you feel like you aren't smart or strong or important enough.
Any time you have an idea, and that little voice in the back of your head tells you no.
Do it anyway.

This is the energy we need from our doctors in Ireland too. We don’t even have policies restricting access to trans healthcare, yet I can count on one hand the GPs willing to provide it. They’re afraid of getting sued.
