After yesterday’s surrender, we’re launching the largest Democratic primary program that we’ve ever run.
We will not back any Senate primary candidate unless they call for Schumer to step down as Minority Leader.
If you’re as pissed as we are, join this campaign to rebuild the Democratic Party. 👇

Democratic leaders have failed us again. It's time to get new leaders.
After yet another capitulation by Chuck Schumer and Senate Democrats, it's clear we need new leadership capable of mounting a serious opposition to Trump's authoritarian regime. We're launching our la...

I just joined the Working Families Party as a dues paying member. I'm sick of bad NY Democrats like Schumer and Gillibrand and Cuomo and Goldman. We need real change.
If you’re in NY, you absolutely should follow and join the efforts of the @nywfp.bsky.social. They are ACTIVE and ON THE BALL and a big part (along with many other parts) of how Mamdani won.
This is a good time to join the WFP @workingfamilies.org I'm a broken record and if they ain't going to learn they need to learn by us not cooperating with their party anymore and building a political force that is so big that can hold different tenants but still have values.

I'm sure this doctor/senator is trying to convince us we'll be better off with HSAs or some nonsense, but Republicans lately are making a better case for single-payer healthcare than I've ever seen before.

The coordinated nature of this—none are facing voters in 2026—means that either Schumer approved it or failed in his job as Senate Majority Leader to stop it.
Dems voting "no" get zero credit until they demand a change in leadership. Schumer out as Leader, Durbin out as Whip.

Reading this I was reminded of the time in 2003 when I was walking down the street in Atlanta (with a beard and a large backpack) and a guy yelled at me "Hey, are you Eric Rudolph?" I told him I was not. He said "Good, because I was gonna tackle you" www.newyorker.com/news/essay/d...
Defeating the Far-Right “Blob Man”
The story of Eric Rudolph, the Atlanta Olympics bomber, offers lessons about the persistence of violent extremism, and how to combat it.

In the past month, Pluribus and Slow Horses both used the plot device "let's implement this code we got from a dodgy source and see what happens!" and it does not go well. I sense the outlines of a trend. Maybe a warning about AI coding?

I vote constantly, and pay attention to politics, and I cannot imagine a situation in which I would:
a) answer my phone
b) respond to a political poll
Similarly, I will never answer my door to talk to canvassers.

I have a Grand Unified Theory of Recent Polling Errors
-there is a crucial population of people who occasionally vote, usually only in presidential elections, but don't pay attention to politics and never answer their phones
-they are the dark matter of polling, visible only by their absence

Good summary of why pollsters whiffed in VA and NJ. TLDR: electorate looked like 2017 when pollsters assumed it would look like 2024, plus Latino turnout exploded.

Wow it defaults to hiding quite a few things. Many probably for the best, but for now I'm switching most to warn (and I remain willing to see rude posts - I follow @dimsie.bsky.social after all)
If you aren't seeing skeets from some of your fave people, they might have been labeled "Rude" by bsky mods. Idk what they are thinking, I don't need a mommy to tell me who to be buddies with. Anyway, go into Settings > moderation > bluesky moderation (advanced) and turn Rude off.
