The first data batch of our new pan-Arctic reanalysis dataset is now available!

Its 2.5 km horizontal resolution is > 150 better than the resolution of the ERA5 dataset.

Donald Trump, Jr.’s net worth has increased six-fold since his father was reelected.

Eric Trump has gotten ten times richer over the same time period.

Funny how that works, huh?

What the US is doing to Europe it is also doing to its one time allies in the Indo-Pacific. There is one rule of action for the US government now. If you are a democracy, you will be abandoned; if you are a dictatorship, you will be praised and supported.

So this is pretty amazing - yesterday EarthCARE sampled Hurricane Humberto straight across the eye! The eye of a tropical cyclone is small so a direct hit is rare: this is the first time EarthCARE has hit one after over a year in orbit! (Showing here also VIIRS on NOAA-20 for context.)

Governor of Utah, "I was praying that it was an immigrant."

The USA is a hellhole, to smear immigrants like this on stage in front of the whole country when they had nothing to do with it.

This is disgusting.

Polar lows - fast-developing Arctic storms - are among Norway’s most hazardous weather systems.

However, satellite data (e.g. from our Metop series) are helping improve forecasts to save lives at sea and on land.

Seen today near Tampa Bay. A Pileus / Cap cloud…like a lenticular cloud on top of mountains except it appears above cumulus clouds.
A horizontal wind aloft hits the cumulus and it is forced upward, it cools and condenses and forms caps. Thanks Xanny Stoll for the picture from Parrish.

The next time you hear conservatives use any of the following terms, ask for a definition.

"Woke"
"DEI"
"Critical race theory"
"Socialism"

They won't have any.

They just want to stoke culture wars to divert attention from economic looting and oligarchy.
