I've always been convinced that video podcasts exist to force creators to be reliant on a closed distribution platform. Podcasts are built on tech (RSS) that nobody can own. Every major tech company has wanted to migrate podcasts to something proprietary, but it never sticks. Video is their answer.

reminder: i am currently in crushing debt due to not being paid/employed for a year and a half (and losing all of my belongings in a flood my insurance refused to cover)
i am going to have to file bankruptcy AND empty my 401K to stay afloat if i don’t find work soon. anything at all helps

Reminder that, unless a creative freelancer has a spouse with a day job that offers health insurance, they likely have an ACA plan. And with the hits to creative industries the past few years, I'm guessing many qualify for subsidies.
