It is not easy for an artist, but I would say you have to learn to be good with good enough. There are days I am super happy with the comic and days I know I could have done better but I have a deadline and I have to post a JPEG. Those days just make me want to do better tomorrow.

I have always loved the challenge of writing and drawing the comic strip the day before it goes up. Jerry and I have done it this way for almost 30 years now! There are days that I wish I had more time, but in the end I think it is part of what makes Penny Arcade special.
