I make about $50k a year, which isn’t a whole lot but thankfully more than I need. Instead of using my disposable income for fun things, I’ll pouring some into mutual aid and local charities because five fucking congressmen took a buy out from billionaires.

Y'all pick a lane. Then make a little progress in your lane each day.

Every serious, experienced organizer I know is Doing Their Thing. Instead of freaking out about each bit of bad news, we're in our lanes rapidly building dual power infrastructure and networks that don't rely on the goverment.

I want it, and all my technology, to behave predictably in ways I can configure.

I prefer to be the smart one in our partnership.

I think if you grabbed any famous thinker from centuries ago and showed them Wikipedia and told them it was free for anyone to access, they would say it is humanity's crowning achievement and would be indifferent to the moon landings, modern medicine, flight, or anything else you showed them

Just saw a NYPost headline complaining scornfully that Gen Z adults are taking classes in basic life skills and I mean--of course they are? You didn't prepare them for anything because no child left behind gutted their schooling and eradicated classes like home ec in favor of standardized testing?

Mahmoud Khalil’s continued detention in Louisiana has posed significant problems for his defense in his habeas corpus case, his lawyers say in a new filing. The nearest large cities are more than 4 hours away, and visits occur “in a cramped, closet-sized space with only a single chair for counsel.”

The RFK Jr. version of health, where health creates health and healthy people don't get sick and the thing that keeps you healthy is /living the right way/ is very seductive to a lot of people. It also places the burden of illness back on the ill, which decreases the value of human life.

KEEP FIGHTING!!!
After massive public backlash, the Social Security Administration is rolling back its disastrous cuts to phone services.

This is a huge victory for the public against DOGE's rampage.

Keep up the fight.

Especially if you're a person under constant threat. You need rest and joy, these psychos in power are actively trying to strip you of both.
Why are we talking sports here on BlueSky? Democracy is literally blowing up. We need to resist #resist
