Just a reminder, if you've got young-at-heart readers in your life who love funny ghost stories. 😊
Post a banger not in English.

I have adored this song since the very first time I heard it. It's the definition of banger.

I woke up to a ton of new followers--Hi!

If we hung out at ReadOUT, be sure and say Hello!

Yikes on bikes!
To all my fellow writers out there -- if you get a call or email from Epistle Media LLC, block them.

They called me last week and told me that they wanted to acquire my book. When I ask them which one, "Chloe" paused and then pulled out "John Zebedee Meets the Heir of the Elvenlands." 1/7

I have yet to see any evidence that there is a market for AI-generated books outside of people being tricked into thinking they are not AI-generated books. AKA, it is a project of scamming and deceiving people, and really should be treated as fraud

"AI has no voice. It has no mouth yet all it does is scream."

What an amazing line.
My writing group last night said "your voice is so strong, & the way you modify that voice from POV to POV is just so well done"

AI has no voice. It has no mouth yet all it does is scream.

For $5 you can kick this woman in the teeth & get the pulpy genre bending adventure of a lifetime

A couple times a year or so I get to spend a few days in a queer space and it's such a . . . sustaining experience. It emphasizes to me how I exist largely in a state of having friendly people kindly tolerate my differences, but this reminds me that there are people who _love_ me for them.

A woman at McDonald's is listening to an audiobook without headphones or ear buds and I have very conflicted feelings.

Here’s what I’ll never understand. If you’re proudly letting some mindless machine churn out dogshit for you, it’s obvious you don’t respect the genre or the power of stories or the written word in general. It’s all just a hustle, a grift. So why are you picking fiction writing? There no money here.
Coral Hart from Cape Town is making hot trash and calling it romance novels. Coral Hart is a grifting talentless POS.
“Whenever the publishing industry is rocked by a technological shift, it usually hits romance first.”

Like, it's just really easy to see that I am not going to be able to keep up with the LITERAL REST OF THE WORLD in output. Even without AI.

The way people like me win is by writing memorable books that relate to the human experience.

I never do those "1 Like = 1 ____" posts because there's pitfalls in either directions. Either I get a hundred likes and really don't have a hundred interesting things to say, or I get like three and it reinforces my fear that nobody cares what I think.

ICE has grabbed so many people from their vehicles that there are abandoned cars across Minnesota.

This tow truck driver returns the cars for free as a public service, and he’s been getting death threats.

They hate the helpers.

Which is why must keep helping.
Twin Cities tow truck driver returns abandoned vehicles to families after ICE arrests
Juan Leon sends a "chase" car to check out where abandoned vehicles are located and arranges discreet drop-offs. Since late December, he estimated they have dropped off 250 cars.

I'm sitting in the audience of a panel, and the moderator appears to have read all the panelists and is equipped to ask them questions very geared towards their work. I love that when it's feasible.
