While I generally think Roblox as a company is on the up-and-up, requiring facial recognition tech that determines the age of the person using the app, as a result of DAs in Louisiana and Texas leads me to believe the ultimate goal is quite sus.

Could it be uglier? Sure!

Not by much though.

Creating a military conflict with Venezuela gives this administration a legal "hook" to invoke the Alien Enemies Act. In other words, the foreign war is being manufactured in order to facilitate court deference for its domestic mass deportation policy. It's a Stephen Miller Special.

This is a damn important thing to remember. It’s all well & good to avoid Black Friday from a place of comfort, or a place of ethics, which I applaud, but for folks taking advantage of sales to get things they need? No shame, only solidarity in working for better wages & quality of living for all.
It's such a grim thing that I and many other people have only ever used Black Friday as not a gift-buying time, but a time to get necessities that are only affordable once a year.

This is my kind of good trouble.
In Monrovia, California, protesters are purchasing 17¢ ICE scrapers from Home Depot and immediately returning them to create long lines and slow down the entire store. Their aim is to disrupt sales and convey a message opposing ICE raids occurring in their neighborhood.

The one thing she had at all going for her redemption arc; speaking on behalf of victims. To desert her position prior to doing this is…well probably on point for her, honestly.

As a retiring but still sitting member of the House, MTG has the opportunity to read into the public record documents that otherwise could not be released... and would be protected by the constitution's speech or debate clause from prosecution.

Santa Fe is now the first city to tie the minimum wage to the cost of rent.

The Santa Fe City Council voted to raise its minimum wage from $15/hr to $17.50 by 2027 — but they also added another provision.

Future increases will factor in inflation, and the price of housing.

I don't expect the complete Epstein files within 30 days from this, but I find it likely the various stunts attempted to delay it—some rich pedo sues to prevent release! FBI claims ongoing investigation! etc—continue to cause problems for Trump, and that more and more comes out over time.
Here's the law, if anyone wants to read it. It's pretty short, and provides a list of what has to be released and when (heads up that agencies routinely blow past statutory deadlines), lists exceptions (e.g., no publishing of CSAM) and requires reporting to Congress. www.congress.gov/bill/119th-c...

Trump has made a show of criticizing insurance company greed as they stand firm against extending Affordable Care Act tax credits and offer ill-formed alternatives. But a report published by Sen. Ron Wyden explains how a scheme endorsed by Trump would further enrich insurance giants and big banks.

Trump doubled down on the idea of funding health savings accounts instead of extending the enhanced ACA tax credits.

Color me suspicious if Rick Caruso is involved. Yes I understand losing a home is a traumatic experience regardless of how much money someone has. Also not really in the mood to “help” anyone with a property to sell worth more than $5M. Thoughts?

If they make it to where there are less jobs, people will have a harder time quitting jobs that abuse stuff like labor laws. Factor in health insurance going up and how workplace insurance is tied to employment and you begin to see the indentured servitude the techno-fascists need. They need workers
It's a revealing moment...

J.D. Vance welcomes a two-legged robot helping on the job site. But if that helper is a person named Jose, he calls it a threat. Same tasks, same productivity boost.

The inconsistency reveals this isn’t about economics.

Honking your horn is not a crime and therefore does not come close to any cause for ramming some heavy gun into a car window with a person inside.
This is bullshit! What are the charges?
