Trump unleashed his fury about weakness in the labor market.

Claiming without evidence the data were “rigged”

So he fired the Senate-confirmed Department of Labor official responsible for pulling together the numbers each month.

Data showing cracks in the U.S. labor market and Trump’s newest barrage of tariffs shook investors around the world, weighing on stocks, the dollar and more.

But it was a report from the Labor Department that caused the most alarm.

The fact that Trump’s “Justice” Department met with Epstein’s accomplice for two days, but never met with a single survivor of Epstein and Maxwell’s crimes, tells us everything we need to know.

The firing of Erika McEntarfer—Commissioner of the BLS—is how the Trump regime will start manipulating economic data.

On top of an already failing economy, none of our economic data will be reliable now.

This will lead to a crash, one that the fascists and oligarchs are positioned to benefit from.
As the abysmal job report makes headlines, remember: billionaires bankrolling the Trump regime benefit from a crashed economy.

Bankrupt companies can be bought for cheap.

Workers will be exploited as desperation for employment increases.

A weak USD empowers crypto investors.

This is intentional.
The U.S. job market was weak in July, and previous months were worse than thought
Sharp revisions of government data show the U.S. created just 33,000 jobs total in May and June, while July’s number came in soft, too.

Donald Trump seems to be considering a pardon for Ghislaine Maxwell, Jeffrey Epstein's co-conspirator and confidant.

Despite their performative outrage, far right influencers, right-wing media, and MAGA will continue to support Trump — and recast Maxwell as a victim.

How? Meet MAGA’s new enemies:

The world we’re in now
My prediction is that in that scenario, he blames the Bureau of Labor Statistics, which puts out employment data. Calls them corrupt, run by Democrats, out to get him. Fires people there, insists their numbers cannot be trusted, White House puts out its own fictitious data to make Trump look good

Tillis caved. Emil Bove’s confirmation is Trump’s fortress move in plain sight...loyalty over law, immunity over justice. Every GOP ‘yes’ vote is a brick in the wall against accountability.

Opinion | This was Thom Tillis’ moment. He did not meet it.
The North Carolina senator has talked a lot about higher principles lately. And yet his vote to confirm Emil Bove demonstrates just how comfortable he still is taking the easy way out.

Everything about this story is horrific:

1. The student never mentions Jews
2. The university is going to expel a student for criticizing a country over genocide
3. A Republican congressman is taking credit and implying the student is a Muslim terrorist
4. The U.S. Justice Department is involved
The DOJ says it will investigate a US citizen for saying “fuck Isr**l” to a guy in an IDF shirt.
