Healthcare workers care for us.
Auto workers build for us.
Fast food workers feed us.
Education workers shape our future.

Every worker deserves a living wage—no exceptions!

Small government really is big government that does what we want and screws over little people
media loves to cast it as a "government spending cuts" story because they cannot get off a single narrative about what one party favors (small government) versus the other (big government) and boy, are they getting this story completely fucking wrong

Imagine you’re the richest man on earth. Do you spend $40 million on propaganda to convince people you did the right thing by choosing to let children starve, or do you choose to feed children? #StandWithUSAID #SaveForeignAid

What an important point
Lots of reasons to think twice about raw milk consumption.
The list of pathogens that can be found in milk is quite high. Part of this is because milk is delicious for people as well as bacteria. It's a delightful media.

Mixed feelings about this podcast...
how do you show this "on farm" health benefit is due to raw milk? and while having different voices around the table sounds like a good idea...what about 'false equivalence' ?

I watched #Ep1 of #AppleCiderVinegar as a nutrition scientist & as someone who cared for their mum who died of glioblastoma.

Early thoughts.
1. I'm glad they make it clear that Belle Gibson is not profiting.
2. I'm sad that this is framed like a blip one off unique unusual fraudster.

Grampa.. undersecretary of HUD and the federal housing commissioner under Carter would be rolling in his g4ave right now. He worked so hard to make housing safe and affordable for all.
The Senate has confirmed Trump's HUD nominee Scott Turner, who has advocated for increasing the private equity industry's role in the housing market.

These corporate landlords are one of the biggest reasons why you can't afford a home.

For the people who used to ask 'Why do you have to be so political?' I hope that it's now obvious why.

Healthcare is political. Housing is political. Education is political. The air we breathe, the water we drink —it's all shaped by policy and power.

Ignoring that is a political choice.

my wife is a medical specialist and commented that one of her former colleagues once said, "Wow, you see a lot more LGBT people than I do!"

The reality is, his patients were LGBT at the same rate. They just didn't think it was safe to tell him anything.

In the near future we're almost certainly going to see an executive order purporting to abolish the U.S. Department of Education

It is extremely important that all of our messaging reinforces the fundamental truth that an EO cannot do that. We must not say "Trump abolished the U.S. Dept of Ed"

EPA spending freeze continues despite court orders
Two judges have ordered the administration to lift the freeze. But nonprofits and states still can't get money for contracts backed by the Inflation Reduction Act.

This is an excellent summary of our situation, which is quite bad.

It’s not just that they’re breaking laws. They’re breaking laws that are centrally important to our constitutional order and are constitutive of its identity. They are targeting the best parts of what democracy has built here.
Ignore the media headlines reporting that freezing federal spending or shuttering federal agencies “raise questions” or “push boundaries.” It’s an anticonstitutional lawbreaking spree.
Breaking the Law
Just weeks in, the Trump administration has violated rules, laws, and the Constitution.

Elon Musk is not an elected official or government employee and absolutely should not have access to government information and processes, or Americans' sensitive data.

Hear me when I say this- we will not allow big tech and billionaires to control the government.

EWG also puts out the dirty dozen and clean 15 which discourage people from affordable produce without valid reasons.
The EWG (Environmental Working Group) propagated anti-vaccine rhetoric.

The claims they’re saying RFK Jr should be accountable for. The claims they ALSO profited off of.

They published an article called “Overloaded” with the same lies about vaccines & autism.

Because he knows vaccines are safe & effective.

Yet he makes millions of dollars causing preventable illness & death by telling other people vaccines are harmful.
