Americans can’t afford food and they can’t afford health care. We are in a cost-of-living crisis of Republicans’ making and we must address it now – not at a later, undisclosed date. Any deal that doesn’t address the cost of health care doesn’t work for the American people. We have to keep fighting.
Met with the Michigan Marching band before the game tomorrow. I told them that we could take a lesson from them on what working together produces… magic.

The shooting of two National Guard members in D.C. is horrific. I’m devastated for their families and praying for strength for them, especially as they were likely preparing to celebrate what should be a joyful holiday.

What happened to USPS worker Nicholas Acker was tragic. His death was senseless and shouldn’t have happened. We need to understand what happened and work to ensure it never happens again.

I’m voting no on this spending bill that will put basic health care further out of reach for millions of families.

Release the files. Trump’s cover up has gone on far too long.
🚨BREAKING: Oversight Dems have received new emails from Jeffrey Epstein’s estate that raise serious questions about Donald Trump and his knowledge of Epstein’s horrific crimes.

Read them for yourself. It’s time to end this cover-up and RELEASE THE FILES.

A deal that does nothing to lower costs does not serve my constituents and it is not what the American people want. They need relief ASAP.

Joined Sheriff Alyshia Dyer, several local police chiefs, and law enforcement officials to discuss safety issues with Washtenaw faith leaders. Communities no matter what faith or religion should be able to gather and worship without fear.

Nancy Pelosi is one of the toughest, hardest working, most effective leaders in the history of our Congress and our country. Her career and legacy have made our nation better, and she has set an example of strong and compassionate leadership for generations to come.

Federal funding provides crucial support for survivors of domestic violence, but the Trump administration’s illegal budget cuts are putting those lifelines at risk. Survivors need stability and support now.
Reps.: Federal Funding Is a Lifeline for Domestic Violence Survivors. The Trump Admin Is Quietly Trying To End It | Opinion

Michiganders are receiving their outrageously high premiums caused by the Republican health care crisis and they can't afford it.

It is time they work with Democrats to lower health care costs and extend ACA tax credits.

Let’s be clear: The Trump Administration has the resources and the legal authority to fully fund SNAP benefits. Not only do they have the ability, but they have also been ordered by a court to do so. And they are still choosing not to.

Trump can find money to send to Argentina but not to feed hungry children, seniors, and veterans.

It shouldn’t require a court order to make sure people have enough to eat, but now it’s clear: Trump Administration has no basis to withhold SNAP contingency funds - they are legally obligated to pay out benefits for November.

@debbiedingell.house.gov and I know firsthand the importance of lifelines for survivors of domestic violence.

As this #DVawarenessmonth comes to an end, we implore the administration to stop destroying the infrastructure meant to support survivors.

Wishing all Michiganders no tricks and all treats this Halloween! I think everyone should give out candy year round 🍫

You can now visit Healthcare.gov to see how much your health care premiums will cost next year. Unfortunately many will see their costs skyrocket.

Canada is more than an ally — they’re family to Michigan. We share bridges, lakes, and livelihoods. A trade war hurts workers on both sides of the border. Time to stop this war and restore trust. 🌉🇨🇦🇺🇸

If you’re a Michigander feeling the impact of the shutdown and rely on SNAP to put food on the table, know you are not alone. One source of help are local food banks, which are trying to gear up to help.

Trump is bailing out one of our biggest ag trade competitors when our farmers here at home need help because of his reckless policy.

American farmers and families need relief, and Trump needs to put America first.

We cannot allow this Administration’s inaction to further harm our communities. PFAS contamination has already had far-reaching consequences. The DoD needs to act now.
