A new investigation revealed that school districts and local governments are reportedly overpaying for supplies because of Amazon contracts that bind them to dynamic pricing.

Rather than allow for competitive bidding, the deals “covertly raise prices and inflate costs for governments.”

Keep in mind that many of those who DO keep their coverage initially will only be able to do so for a few months before having to drop it due to the increased premiums…but the losses being spread out over several months will dilute the media narrative.

The incredible, indomitable, inspirational Alice Wong has left us.

I'm so grateful to have known her on social media, and so grateful for all the words she shared with us and all the actions she encouraged us into making.

May we live up to her example.

Letting a computer make decisions is letting whoever controls the computer decide the range of acceptable choices. There is no way that the owners of the AI systems will allow them to make decisions which are optimal for the user but against the interests of the owner...

I like this. Since under RFK Jr, Covid shots are now for people with underlying conditions that put them at risk, Michigan’s chief medical executive Dr. Natasha Bagdasarian states that not having the most recent Covid shot constitutes such an underlying condition.

I also struggle with this.

One of my solutions: kebabs. I eat meat so I do chicken, fish, but minimize steak. Buy them at most grocery meat markets. You can grill them as is or more often I take them off skewer for a very fast stir fry. That plus a rotisserie chicken and sliced zucchini in fridge
For several years, I have struggled to eat enough food due to stress and severe ADHD. This week, I learned an easy solution was a 5.5lb frozen bag of stir-fry veggies from Costco and smoothies. I steam the veggies in a pan, make the smoothie, then add eggs and cheese to the veggies for protein.

The strategy:

1. Appeal to economic anxiety created by AI hype.

2. Target prospective students in geographic regions far removed from established tech centers.

3. Rent brand equity of public universities associated with regional pride, while simultaneously sowing doubt in the their legitimacy.
