Or your flight to your friends wedding...
Private planes make up nearly 12% of all flights.

And yet even with major air traffic control safety concerns, the DOT is planning to exclude them from its plan to order 10% cut in flights at 40 major U.S. airports.

People who can afford to charter flights will be fine. Everyone else is screwed.

This Conway's mind is also boggled. The constant moral distress and injury is going to reshape us in ways I can't fathom.
It still boggles my mind that so many people couldn't grasp last year how significantly more morally depraved a second Trump term would be in comparison to the first. And how so many people still can't comprehend that our national crisis isn't about politics, but simple morality.

K-12 educators and activists know their history and have begged @ncdemocrats.bsky.social to stop being played by this old playbook.

Maybe they will listen to UNC Prof. @tressiemcphd.bsky.social

We're not any more altruistic than the next person. We want less inequality because we know our families will be better off in a society with less inequality.

We're greedy for a different kind of country—one where all people have the ability to thrive, succeed, and have their voices heard.

When politicians aren’t afraid of people there is no governance.
And the Senators ostentatiously looked down at their phones as NC citizens stood in front of them, begging them not to do this. Their arrogance and utter contempt for the people they’re supposed to serve are glaring (and long pre-date Trump).

What I know from being Black my whole life, and poor for the majority of it, is that politely ignoring a root issue to attend to one closer to the surface is like robbing Peter to pay Paul. It’s a band-aid on a gaping wound - it will not hold your flesh together for long. The US needs stitches. #NCEd
The conversation between Klein and Coates showed me that a lot of people who screech about “infighting” on the left aren’t aware of the fact that marginalized people have been forced to learn how to regulate their emotions during conflict, and so, are better able to hear what’s actually being said.
