And so Desperate Robert has joined Negative Nigel’s gang, leaving an organisation where he wasn’t going to be elected leader to join one where he can’t because Nigel owns it, literally owns it.

With the UK in the middle of a heatwave, many members are adjusting how and when we practise.

If you've found something that works well in this blistering heat, feel free to share it with the TCIA community in the comments so we can all benefit.

Donald Trump can't hold course for more than a single day. He's unpredictable, inconstant and disloyal. The UK has held the US as a dependable ally for our economy and security. Trump has broken that relationship. The government must now turn to allies we can rely on in the EU, Commonwealth and G6.

Today in 1924 Hitler was sentenced to a pathetic 5 yrs for trying to overthrow the government.

He served 9 months. There might be a lesson here somewhere about being tough on people who assault democratic governance.

I asked David Lammy last month why the £2.5b from the sale of Chelsea FC has still not been released to help Ukraine. He said “We are redoubling our efforts to unlock that money”. That is now in doubt. I will be pressing him to do more.

For three years, the brave Ukrainian people have heroically defended their country against Putin’s war machine.

Now, more than ever, we must stand firmly in support of our Ukrainian friends, resist Trump's stitch up with Putin and work with our European neighbours to defend freedom and democracy.

Trump is on the brink of betraying Ukraine and the UK.

Britain must lead in Europe by increasing defence spending immediately and all political parties should get round the table to make that happen.

I fear what happens if we don't take this step.

There's a rumour that Nigel Farage is keeping his head down because he's off to a Trump cheerleading conference over the weekend.

I’m afraid I’m being proved right- Farage is far more interested in Trump's success than British security. He is a bootlicker and a plastic patriot.

So Nigel Farage has chosen to explain away Trump’s outrageous remarks about President Zelensky instead of doing the right thing and condemning them. Deeply disappointing but not at all surprising.

He sounds like a spokesman for Trump. He certainly doesn’t speak for Britain.

How long will we continue to ignore the facts? When will the government admit that Brexit has totally failed? At which stage will this collective avoidance come to an end?

Something must give, Brexit has failed, and it's clear to everyone now.
