Deeply concerned about Trump’s imperial intentions - and the implications for Greenland.

UK Government needs to make clear that we will not stand for US piracy to seize the natural resources of sovereign states.
First Venezuela, next Greenland?

You don't suck up to bullies like Trump, he will just see it as a sign of weakness.

Keir Starmer needs to get on the phone to our European allies including the Danish PM, and show a united front against Trump's threats.
January 4, 2026 at 6:41 PM
It's now clear that this was never about the interests of the Venezuelan people or the wider world. This is Trump serving his own interests and ego, making the world far more dangerous in the process. Starmer must convene the UN Security Council to hold Trump to account.

Keir Starmer should condemn Trump’s illegal action in Venezuela.

Maduro is a brutal and illegitimate dictator, but unlawful attacks like this make us all less safe.

Trump is giving a green light to the likes of Putin and Xi to attack other countries with impunity.

The Family Farm Tax should never have been forced through by the Treasury. Lib Dems were first to call it out. We have consistently opposed it. The anxiety and distress caused - especially to older farmers with no time to adjust - has been inexcusable.

With this huge expansion of settlements on Palestinian land in the West Bank, Netanyahu's extremist Cabinet is doing all it can to destroy hopes of a two-state solution.

The UK Government must go beyond mere condemnation and take meaningful action. 👇🏻 1/2

Whoever's in No10 in 2026, Lib Dems welcome Govt support for our call for a new customs union.

I was very sad to learn of the death of Ian Hudspeth OBE, who led Oxfordshire County Council from 2012-2021.

Ian was strongly committed to our community in Bladon and Woodstock and a dedicated public servant.

We desperately need growth in our economy to transform opportunity for UK businesses and create jobs. The way Brexit was implemented has tied up firms in red tape and stifled growth. I hope Labour MPs will join Lib Dems today in voting for a change that will put the economy on the path to recovery.
🚨 Today Al Pinkerton will introduce a 10-minute bill that calls for a UK-EU customs union.

It's time for Labour MP's to back our bill and help turbocharge our economy.

Today is World AIDS Day. We are close to zero new HIV transmissions by 2030, but not close enough. New infections are rising in heterosexual and ethnic minority communities and PrEP access is still unequal. Zero by 2030 means fair access to testing, treatment and prevention for everyone.

Budget 💷 Labour has failed to deliver fairer taxes. Big banks, digital service companies and online gambling firms should pay their fair share. Instead, hundreds of thousands of lower wage earners and retirees with modest occupational pensions will be dragged into income tax by Labour’s stealth tax.
