I have heard from businesses across Scotland recently about the massive increases in business rates which are looming in April.
I am calling for an immediate pause to the business rates revaluation, to ensure Scottish businesses are not hit with these eye watering increases.

Shetland has some of the highest energy bills in the UK while renewable energy infrastructure dominates the isles.

The UK Government must do more to tear down barriers with Europe.

Why the Scottish Liberal Democrats voted to remove the Justice Secretary this afternoon.
Had it not been for the unbelievably selfless actions of Ahmed Al-Ahmed, many more members of Sydney's Jewish community might have perished.
His heroism is a moving reminder of the common humanity that is shared by so many across all religions of our world.

Part of that is Brexit chaos and red tape.
But the SNP's economic incompetence and scattergun approach to tax has made Scotland a less attractive place to build up a business.

The new electric car charge will hit rural areas like the Highlands harder than anywhere else due to the lack of public transport options and the large distances that journeys can involve.
This must not be another city-centric policy that hits those in rural areas with the bill.
