This is yet more proof that the SNP are terrible for your health.

For the past eighteen years, they have run local health services into the ground.

People across Scotland are struggling to get the healthcare they need like never before, all while staff are run off their feet.

We have long called for all communities to be compensated for this SNP-led mess, but the government’s belated scheme doesn’t even touch the sides.

Communities like Mull, Ardrossan, Dunoon, Cumbrae, Iona, Islay, Jura and many others, have all been excluded from the scheme.

In many constituencies across Scotland, we are on the verge of winning against the SNP.

But wherever you are, every vote for the Scottish Liberal Democrats on the second peach ballot will deliver change with fairness at its heart.

The SNP are keeping islanders and yard workers in the dark about funding for the Glen Rosa.

Everyone knows ministers will have to provide the funding eventually, and this charade of withholding the funds is nothing more than a pretence that ministers care about the public purse.

Always incredibly moving to join the communities of Queensferry and Davidson’s Mains at each of their acts of remembrance.

Always a privilege to join the communities of West Edinburgh in paying tribute to the fallen. Lest we forget.

Mere months ago the Scottish Government stated it had no plans for an independent review of maternity services in Caithness.

Now, following a Lib Dem amendment, they have u-turned.

We now need a clear timetable and assurances that the community are fully involved.

"I was pleased to secure a commitment to replacing the Edinburgh Eye Pavilion in budget negotiations but patients should not have to wait six years to see it completed.

We need to get shovels in the ground as soon as possible."

Since maternity services in Caithness were downgraded in 2016, mums have been forced to travel 100 miles to Inverness to give birth.

But last night the Scottish Parliament unanimously backed our amendment calling for an independent review of maternity services in Caithness.

Supporting lifeline services should be right at the top of any Scottish Government agenda.

Many in the far north and in our island communities will be worried about what to expect after the collapse of Eastern Airways.

It's a complete scandal that women in Caithness can face a 100 mile trip down to Inverness to give birth.

The Scottish Government have finally bowed to years of pressure from the Caithness Health Action Team and the Liberal Democrats and agreed to back an independent review.

The SNP government have yet again failed to do the hard graft to deliver their own policy.

They previously planned to ship up to 100 truckloads of waste to England each day.

It’s clear ministers are doing not enough to encourage people to use their recycling systems properly.

The Scottish Government supporting our amendment calling for an independent review of maternity services in Caithness is very welcome news.

But tonight cannot be the last parliament hears about this, we must hold the Scottish Government's feet to the fire now.

The SNP have no serious plan for our public services.

Instead, they have put them on the line by making one expensive blunder after another, from their disastrous bungling of the ferries to selling off the seabed on the cheap.

Scotland deserves better.

After a record-breaking August for long waits at A&E, this SNP Government have broken another record in September as well.

Winter typically brings the worst pressures at A&E, yet we are already seeing records broken for long waits.

The warning signs could not be clearer.

Installing more energy efficient heating systems is a win-win for driving down emissions and supporting people with household bills.

But so far, the SNP have made no serious effort to do so, offering only barriers, delays and total inefficiency.

What's worse is that the very longest waits are ballooning too, with thousands waiting over half a day at A&E.

The Scottish Conservatives are clinging to Nigel Farage’s coattails.

They have abandoned any pretence of being a sensible, moderate party.

Is there any policy that Nigel Farage could put forward that is so beyond the pale that Scottish Conservatives wouldn’t vote for it?

It has been 18 years since the SNP came to power pledging action to improve trunk roads in the North and North East, yet next to nothing has happened.

People deserve so much better.

Fixing roads like the A9, A96 and A82 will have a real impact on road safety.

If you wanted an illustration of SNP hypocrisy on fishing you could not ask for much better than this.

They call out Scotland getting a poor proportion from the new UK fund, while short-changing Shetland fishermen.

They are doing exactly what they accuse the UK government of.

The ECHR protects many everyday rights we take for granted.

Only two countries have left the ECHR, one of which was Russia, which was expelled in 2022 following its invasion of Ukraine.

This is the company Nigel Farage and the Scottish Conservatives want to put us in.

Congratulations to Rob Jetten and D66 on their fantastic result in the Dutch Election!

This result goes to show that an optimistic, liberal vision is the antidote to the politics of negativity and division offered by the far right.
