Even though it’s unenforceable, as of today it is illegal to prescribe puberty blockers to a trans child in Aotearoa. We now know that the Ministry recommended against this, that no one asked for it, and no one thought it was a good idea except for cabinet. This ban is a stain on our history.

We spoke to a dozen professional concept artists who are currently or have previously worked in game development about whether generative AI image tools have made their jobs any easier.

Zero said it did. Most said it made things harder.

I hate this so much. I feel sick.

280 images of toddlers & children. HUNDREDS. Accessing these has an impact on demand, therefore creating more harm to the children and others.

This man is a monster and is getting an easy ride.

This should be a much, much bigger story. Commitments of tens of billions of dollars are being made to dubious projects without us being allowed to know anything about how decisions are being made. It's literally the future of the nation.
The RoNS: “the most complex & expensive infrastructure programme in NZ’s recent history.”

A $56B programme… with a $49B shortfall. And all signs point to low-to-no-value for public money.

Given the huge public interest, why are the details being kept from the public, asks @connorsharp.bsky.social?

They are fucking the country like they always do.

BONKERS!

The Luxon Govt’s rewrite of the RMA laws allows companies to claim financial compensation (from taxpayers) when councils introduce rules to limit pollution or protect the environment.

Let that sink in.

This has 'merit' according to the centre left.
The RMA replacement bills include the fringe right-wing idea of 'regulatory takings', forcing councils - and therefore ratepayers - to compensate landowners for restrictions that impact their developments.
