Pepsi allegedly gave Walmart discounts on its products, while charging other retailers higher prices.

Biden's FTC filed a complaint. Trump's FTC later dropped it.

This is a prime example of how monopoly-like power takes away our freedom of choice. Lina Khan explains.

Money changes everything
This is a really good piece!

(though I am once again begging people to move off Substack)
Study after study shows campaign ads barely move the needle. So where does money’s real power come from? I ranked the five ways money corrupts politics—from least to most corrosive. What I’ve learned from 15 years of tracking political money:

This is from 2023, and since then the owners have publicly stated their support for highlighting far right wing voices on the platform

The newsletter platform’s lax content moderation creates an opening for white nationalists eager to get their message out.

Is this really a legitimate test of physical fitness? I haven't ever been able to do a chin up. I can, however, walk two pitbulls simultaneously.
For someone claiming to be a health freak those were absolutely pathetic reps. Neither one counted (didn’t get his chin over the bar) and he could barely do two.

I got the shingles vaccine last year. I took a nap and some advil. It was a lot better than getting shingles.
people gotta talk about their shingles experiences. no one is going to enjoy this
All over my FB people talking about their bad experiences with shingles vax and dissuading each other from getting it! We need to give people real info on how to mitigate the symtoms caused by vaccines because vaccines are always better than meeting a virus unprepared. Yet drs aren't coaching ppl

Just heard disappointing news that @warren.senate.gov will co-sponsor the Kids Online Safety Act again despite overwhelming opposition from LGBTQ, human rights, abortion rights, and racial justice groups.

This is a horrific betrayal of her constituents, particularly trans youth and their families.

Israel has killed 249 journalists in the last 2 years.

That's more than were killed in WWII & the Vietnam War put together.

A Vermonter, Dylan Collins, was wounded in one of these attacks, which killed another reporter. This war against journalists must be investigated & ended.

Hey everyone, you’ve been asking me to run for office for a while, so guess what?

I’m running for California State Assembly!

Now, I don’t like asking for money, but we gotta pay for this somehow, and if everyone throws in $7 we’ll have the resources to run one hell of a race, so, uh, do the thing.

The only reason this is happening is to appease ranchers in Montana & Wyoming who have lost their shirt thanks to tariffs.
I know this is only adding to the list of emails and calls to representatives, but please consider doing either or ): these poor social creatures don't deserve any of this.

In 1993, Trump signed mortgages for 2 homes in Florida, claiming each as his principal residence.
He does not appear to have ever lived in either, let alone used them as a principal residence. They were investment properties & rented out.
Yet he accuses others of fraud?
