CW: mention of cults

Had lunch at the pub w/ a friend yesterday & the conversation went something like this.

Me: I did a deep dive on Niall Horan the other day. Think he might B the low key inspo for the last character in my werewolf clan I was struggling to wrap my head around.

I know you’re a bodybuilder, but use your noggin this time. Nearly half of those who receive food stamps work. Of the rest, most are over 65 or disabled. Wages are too low for tens of millions, and Social Security isn’t enough for many elderly.

First, shoutout to the cover artist. Stunning!!!

That said, this is a book you can judge by its cover. The enemies to lovers journey between Lady Georgiana Cleeve and her rival gothic authoress, Cat Lacey, was perfectly lovely.

I love you, Crew!!!

Buried deep in the bill is a No Contempt Clause (Sec. 70302) in the House version that the Senate has rewritten called the Grassley provision. Both give Trump ability to defy court orders without consequences. This provision needs to be stripped out under reconciliation rules as not budget based.
👇
The President of the United States is not above the law! The OBBB under Senate consideration has a provision that will codify Trump's ability to threaten the rule of law and democracy itself. Essentially making him a King! Call your Senators today to stop this power grab in its tracks. More info 👇👇
Tell Your Senators: Don’t Put Trump Above the Law!
The President of the United States is not above the law. Weakening our courts to empower Trump threatens the rule of law and democracy itself. Urge the Senate to stop this power grab in its tracks.

A bit of good news:

A federal judge just ruled that the NIH must restore research grants cut under the banner of “gender ideology” and anti-DEI backlash.

The judge—a Reagan appointee—was scathing, calling the cuts “palpable” racial and LGBTQ+ discrimination.
Judge orders Trump admin. to restore hundreds of terminated NIH grants
"I've never seen government racial discrimination like this," the judge said.

One question:

Against whom?

...........

Oh yeah.

Fascists, Nazis, and Hitler.

.... He doesn't see anything at all self-contradictory about celebrating the victorious defeat of the enemy he's ressurecting as we speak?
