The lack of accountability and transparency is wrong. The harm to residents from not funding the Contingency List is outrageous.

CFO Lee, will you certify funding for the Contingency List?

Great work by ACLU and Amica

It all would have been much easier if, as would have happened if we were remotely a serious country, it all ended with the Access Hollywood interview.

I’m going to keep mentioning how heavily people leaned on the “actually, poor Black people don’t go to elite schools, we need more investment at the community level” argument when affirmative action was before the court, and how fucking silent they are now.

Mayor Bowser, "shared priorities" with this administration means having masked agents disappear our neighbors in the middle of the night.

It means soldiers with assault rifles in our neighborhoods.

It means arresting children.

These are the priorities of a dictator. DC does not share them.
Bowser welcomes federal law enforcement presence indefinitely
Bowser issued an executive order Tuesday requiring local coordination with federal law enforcement “to the maximum extent allowable by law.” The order gives no expiration date.

This video makes it clear that many federal agents aren’t stopping residents based on warrants or reasonable suspicion — they’re abducting people based on racial profiling and only then releasing them once their status is verified.

This is blatantly unconstitutional.

There is never a good time to spend $100 million on a military parade to soothe Donald Trump’s ego. But right now is the absolute worst time.

$45 million for a parade that goes 7ish blocks. Yes, less than a mile.

If congressional Republicans actually cared about waste & the deficit, this parade wouldn’t be happening.

There are other ways to celebrate the Army’s 250th.

Trump has wanted to stage a military parade through D.C. stretching back to his first term as president, and he recently defended the cost of doing so.

If they don't pass this bill, D.C. won't be able to use its OWN money to fund its OWN schools, public safety and more. They must act.

Do you think Tesla tells their accounts receivable department to fuck off? No, because they are the people who bring in the income.

The genius Musk-rat is doing that to the Govs accounts receivable, the IRS. Fucking terrorist.

The so-called “moderate” GOP position on Medicaid cuts is no cuts above $500 billion.

Hello? That would mean 18 million children and 2 million adults with disabilities lose health care coverage, according to the latest estimates.

What’s “moderate” about that?
