Let’s debate lowering the fines for traffic enforcement or investing more in infrastructure, but to ban ATE in the nation’s capital is the wrong move for DC residents.

A positive 2025 trend: safer DC streets.
In our first year enforcing the STEER Act against dangerous out-of-state drivers, DC traffic deaths dropped by 52% in 2025 — a 13-year low.
Alongside DDOT, MPD, DMV, and DPW, we are making our streets safer for all. We will build on this progress in 2026.

As someone who used to watch CBS Mornings, CBS Saturday Morning, CBS Sunday Morning, & 60 Minutes pretty regularly, I wouldn’t put Tony in the top 10 of best news anchors/correspondents for the network.
