The entire US AI approach is designed to make Nvidia and OpenAI executives rich. The Chinese approach is designed to make AI adoption by key industries fast and cheap. I just don’t see how the cheap, open Chinese models will be beaten.

I picked the right year to lose 60 pounds… they will be denaturalizing fatties in 2026. But they won’t get me that way. They need to subpoena my Bluesky posts.

Depreciation debate going into overdrive

Why can’t we just do this?
Who’s gonna stop us

This AI hottie ne plus ultra now down -5.5% in after hours on spectacular sales and EPS beats. Capacity constraints and depreciation worries haunt the very heart of our equity boom.
COREWEAVE CEO: ADDED OVER $25B IN REVENUE BACKLOG IN Q3; ONBOARDED NEW CUSTOMER; WORKING WITH CORE SCIENTIFIC ON ~590MW CAPACITY; TEMP DATA CENTER DELAYS IMPACT Q4 OUTLOOK BUT MOSTLY RESOLVED BY Q1 2026; DELAYS NOT AFFECTING NEW CUSTOMER ADDITIONS

The harder you try to understand depreciation, the more elusive the concept gets. You realize the entire economy now pivots on a concept you cannot fully grasp.
Fun facts:

69% of sales went to depreciation and interest payments
$18.7b in debt and lease liabilities
$1.6b free cash loss

If they're gonna to hit their 2025 capex guidance, they're looking at ~$12b in new debt in Q4.

My favorite TV show. It’s like watching someone tightrope over a canyon.

A brutal intellectual battle over depreciation is now raging across this feverish country. Few understand the nuances, yet the fate of our Republic is at stake.
BURRY won’t let up — now arguing that Oracle and Meta are overstating earnings by understating depreciation:

“.. By 2028, $ORCL will overstate earnings 26.9%, $META by 20.8%, etc.”

Finns also sometimes mention bears - like what bears might be doing and where they could be now - and typically Americans respond with “Ooo why don’t you give us some more details about bears, Tero”. It’s a brutal country & cultural differences are stark.

Finns are very into tree diversity (because we have low tree diversity), but every time we ask Americans about trees that grow in their area and animals who live in those trees, Americans be like “Wtf are you on about? What??”

Nokia soaring like a Finnish seahawk… no longer a depressing infra dud, but an adjutant to Nvidia and a junior member of American AI hype club. We used to pray for days like these

If stock markets go down -4% over the next 7 years, this country will come unglued. People will run amok. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, depends on +15% annual equity gains in America. Nothing else will do.

I live in a super Catholic town where tiny village stores have 23 different Barilla varieties & people have statues of saints in their yards. Like, St Paul and Mary and stuff. Everyone is Mike or Angie. This pasta crisis is hitting Ridgefield like a nuclear bomb.

Captivating Yankee drama. Government reopening & Nvdia and Palantir bounce big at open. But can the old generals drive to new highs? Or has the confidence been shaken to the extent where people start surreptitiously using rebound days to reduce exposure?

Woah I missed Sam just quadrupled his 2028 cash burn estimate to $45 Billion. Dude about to burn through Iceland’s GDP every five months.

What is this nonsense? Chuck is voting no just to aura farm while letting his caucus vote yes? He needs to step down tonight.

Many well paid specialists will never recover. They can’t pivot fast or hard enough. This is a calamity for the 60-80th percentile of US wage earners.

I will never stop talking about this. It explains more about America and conservative movement than 20 Atlantic Monthly essays. And it can never be publicly discussed in depth.

3 hour 45 minute delays at Newark. All of the connecting flights are screwed. The air travel in America is collapsing.

The arch of the conservative movement in America. First they started calling ACA “Obamacare” as a slur. Now they are lying about Obama getting $40M in royalties for the name - and the President is amplifying this absurd claim. The President of the United States of America.

He knows Supreme Court is likely to ban his lawless tariffs soon. He is spiraling; posting grandiose schemes about completely remaking the healthcare system and housing policy on the fly. Sending everyone thousands of dollars. All GOP Senators are applauding this meltdown.

My plan is to take JetBlue to The Hospital de Sant Pau in Barcelona after the US health insurance system collapses for middle class and that first triple bypass surgery hits

Tehran’s population went from 2M to 18M in 50 years. Water restriction starts this week & evacuations are considered within months if the drought persists.
