Howdy, Bluesky! I’m a writer working on my MA in Professional Writing at Kennesaw State University. I love hiking, reading, cooking, and Jesus, not in that order. My kids are grown, and the mister and I split time between Marietta, GA and Brevard, NC. Independent, ex-GOP Harris voter.

I love Gaudí's architecture, and I love churches. But, even if you don't, the interior of La Sagrada Familia is stunning. It's a cathedral of light, and in all my travels, I've never seen anything else like it.

THIS IS NOT CONSTITUTIONAL.

They cannot commandeer state and local law enforcement because they want to.

THIS IS NOT LAWFUL.

They cannot use federalized guard or military personnel for civilian law enforcement absent rebellion and insurrection.
Comer: "We're gonna support doing this in other cities if it works out in Washington DC. We spend a lot on our military. Our military has been in many countries around the world for the past two decades walking the streets trying to reduce crime. We need to focus on the big cities in America now."

As end-of-empire scenarios go it is so much more dignified to get your capital city sacked by the Visigoths than to have a bunch of illiterate rich people in their 70s doing it through a series of incomprehensible tantrums because their brains were defeated by their phones.

I agree with the problem of propaganda, but it was something that could only take hold in a country where people had enough affluence and leisure time to marinate themselves in it. People over 55 with a lot of time on their hands.
I blame it on propaganda.
Entertainment posing as news all coordinating. Fox, talk radio, social media, tabloid magazines, church. Making people that hated civics, interested in civics.
It's like getting heavy people addicted to amphetamines and then they fat shame you for being 5lb overweight.

Jen Easterly is herself a graduate of West Point (the Secretary of the Army is not) and she was the second Director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency
In another episode of “we live in the stupidest timeline,” Jen Easterly, a woman I have (1) never met and (2) did not work for, had her appointment at West Point terminated because Laura Loomer lied about both of us in a tweet.

They didn’t just carry them around; they got them out and waved them at people. Doesn’t look like they actually read them, though.
I remember belonging to a party whose elected officials, in their somewhat corny but earnest way, carried around pocket versions of the Constitution. My God, what a bunch of frauds most of them turned out to be.
