I was explaining to my Ukrainian colleague the phrase ‘There’s no such thing as a free lunch’. She told me the equivalent in Ukrainian is ‘The only free cheese is in the mousetrap’ - which is so much better

This year the University of Cambridge Department of Psychology created new prizes (for the best paper by a postdoc and by a PhD/MPhil student), both named after eminent psychologists who did their undergraduate degrees in the department.
