Going back to Summers' talk about how women don't want to work hard and don't have high end aptitude, we could ask:

What fraction of young men must deal with a creep with substantial power over their career hitting on them using tips from an infamous pedophile? 🤔

Metformin has been shown to reduce the risk of Long COVID. Why isn’t it more widely used? - The Sick Times
Recent studies add evidence to a prior phase 3 clinical trial, suggesting that taking the diabetes drug during acute COVID-19 reduces the risk of long-term symptoms.

Guillermo del Toro on wealth: "a wealthy man is a man who has enough, not a man that needs more. If you have enough to invite someone for a beer? You're rich. If you have a yacht, planes, islands, and you still need more? You're not rich."

Whenever people complain about the number of folks relying on food stamps, it is worth reminding them that SNAP is, by too large of a degree, a subsidy for corporations that refuse to pay a living wage and their political allies who reject public policy prescriptions to reduce income inequality.

“When you have a disability people can’t see, you don’t get the same level of empathy. It feels like the world has moved on.”

It’s shameful how society is gaslighting people who are experiencing chronic illness and ignoring an ongoing public health crisis.
Long Covid Is Real -- And It's Changing an Entire Generation
Long Covid is affecting hundreds of thousands of kids in America, and many doctors and schools refuse to recognize their illness.

It’s hard to travel as a person with a disability.

If you’re an ambulatory wheelchair user, you’re judged, sneered at and treated with disdain.

Often your wheelchair ends up damaged.

The wheelchair passenger protection rule was a huge win for disabled people. Of course they’re taking it away

It’s up to the discretion of RFK Jr to define what ”medically frail” is when it comes to potential Medicaid work requirement exemptions—which may play a huge role in deciding which chronically ill and disabled people could qualify. My latest for @motherjones.com.

Also, unlike many chronic illnesses, POTS has objective diagnostic criteria. Dude is acting like these kids are getting diagnosed on vibes; that’s not how it works. You get diagnosed on evidence of postural tachycardia—it’s in the name!
POTS is not a social contagion.

It’s a devastating chronic illness that is often under diagnosed or misdiagnosed.

The increase in cases is an inevitable consequence of letting covid spread unchecked for years.

Mocking patients for using accessibility devices is wrong. This is hardcore ableism
