Puberty blockers don't even benefit the majority of gender dysphoric kids in a way such they shouldn't just immediately go on HRT. Blockers are for questioning kids, not kids who are sure about their Identity.

The “Pathways” trial is, IMO on more than one level, a thoroughly unethical piece of “research” to be carrying out on children, especially children who are part of a marginalised minority.

There is reporting, such as from @katelynburns.com, that she worked hard behind the scenes to keep Dems from folding on things like anti-trans riders. If that's true, it certainly matters - it complicates the impression I formed of her as purely out for herself at the expense of the rest of us.

This is completely fair. The default should be healthy skepticism of any and all politicians.
To be clear, Katelyn acknowledges what I said in her piece---we share these criticisms of McBride.
I just absolutely cannot come to the same conclusion. McBride is a fair-weather friend at best and should be treated as such. It's how her job works.
