My colleagues & I have taken a huge gamble to set up @thenerve.news We’re trying to build a new independent publication from the ground up. Social media is our only distribution for now.

Sharing this article in your networks would make a huge difference. Thank you! 🙏🙏🙏
NEW: The British politician, his Russian intelligence handler & a Kremlin plot against the US & Ukraine.

My new piece about Nathan Gill and Nigel Farage for @thenerve_news in which we ask:

Why, even now, is no-one asking questions?

British politics is basically a doom spiral of increasingly unhinged hostile policies.

Reform says something unhinged
⬇️
Labour counters with their own unhinged policy
⬇️
Tories shout from back they'll be even more unhinged
⬇️
Reform announces different unhinged proposal in response
⬇️
And repeat...🔁

This is some projecting nonsense here. They invite Farage on shows more than party leaders with more seats, dont challenge him, broadcast everything that comes out of his mouth, Starmer addresses it & the media goes ‘oh you’re obsessed with Farage’ like this is a school playground, come the fuck on

Seriously. A one-hour Party Political Broadcast. Followed at the top of the next hour with top story billing and a highlights package.

Exactly how will this be "balanced" across their coverage?

Where is Ofcom? Where is Nandy?
For 56 minutes Sky News and BBC News interrupted everything else and carried a Reform UK feed live, uninterrupted, unchallenged. The stream spluttered, froze, pixelated - dozens of times - still they stuck with it. FOR ONE HOUR.

This is an editorial choice. No other party gets this coverage. ~AA

Amazingly, Shelagh Fogarty is telling her @lbc.co.uk listeners the UN is wrong about a genocide in Gaza because she has seen far worse atrocities done in other countries that were not called genocide. She also questions the UNs interpretation of the law.

She has a degree in modern languages.

The free speech activist who built a list of professors he worked to get fired for their speech must be celebrated for his support of free speech, and anyone who quotes his speech accurately in context will be fired and/or face state punishment by the champions of free speech, do I have that right?

Natasha Clark's (LBC) reports from the Reform UK conference have been terribly sycophantic.

Apparently, they look well on their way to professionalisation.

Not sure what the point of these "Political Editor" jobs are if they're just there to glaze authoritarians.
*sound on* This is Andrea Jenkyns's ACTUAL singing entrance to the Reform UK conference.

Utter crackpots. And anyone who thinks this kind of idiotic look-at-me amateurs are how this country will "rediscover its pride" needs to have a lie-down.

I see that the folk who stretched interpretations of law / politics to absurdity around Brexit are now doing the same about leaving the ECHR. Is there an Article 24 we can invoke?

The billionaire press barons must be having a right laugh…

Here we are distracted & arguing over asylum seekers (0.2% of the population)

Meanwhile, billionaires (just 0.0002% of the population) hoard more wealth than half the UK

Immigration isn’t draining us

Inequality is.

A day of shame for the UK. A political party proposes mass deportations and the response from other political parties is not to condemn this as going further than even Mosley or the National Front.
No10 spokesman not prepared to criticise anything about Farage speech today.

Not his description of "invasion", not his prediction that the UK on brink of civil war, not plans to pay the Taliban or Iran to take back migrants, or indeed to rule out doing so themselves.

I obviously can't speak for other jews, but to me the world's richest man tweaking his AI so that it now describes things it doesn't like on a scale of "bagel to full Shabbat" and "Peak Jewish" is a somewhat higher priority than people being mean about the IDF at Glasto.
In case you're think Grok isn't being blatantly antisemitic, here's a few more posts from Grok on this topic.
