I listen to LBC (@lbc.co.uk) a lot and post in annoyance about some (some) of its presenters' attempts to mislead the public.

With that arrow pointing to 18.

I’m sure that’s a total oversight, just a coincidence that arrow points to 18.

He's a force of nature.
@zackpolanski.bsky.social wants to introduce a wealth tax of 1% on assets of over £10m & 2% on assets over £1bn & if the super rich want to leave the UK because they are being taxed a tiny amount more then we should wave them goodbye

Thatcherite John Redwood says 1% isn't a tiny amount.

Couldn't agree more with every one of your tweets.

You've basically got the essence of my tweet yesterday, but rather than turn my ire against James I turned it against his employer.

But you've nailed it.
What’s the point of that? It’s a bit of a fleeting panacea, isn’t it? Hence my previous comment about being done with LBC. There are other journalists, John Sweeney springs to mind, who actually get their hands dirty, and go and do some field work. JOB is not doing it for me so much anymore.

Annoying caller "Lucy" right now rabbiting on about "wOt dA mOnEy iZ sPeNt oN!"

You can literally Google it.

Morons, we're surrounded by morons.

The moral of the story is, in the news business, facts and intellectual honesty are but a mere subset of the information ecosystem, and unless they're carried with a certain type of talent, they're usually not as profitable.
You see this in action on a day like today, when @lbc.co.uk invite a range of charlatans (Liam Halligan, Nadim Zahawi etc) to opine on the budget.

JOB would simply ask them:

"Didn't you tell us Truss's budget was amazing?"

Killing the "debate" stone dead + making them look like the tits they are.
LBC are using JOB for financial gain, then rather than using the power of his show to boost the station's integrity, they are diminishing it with passive and/or GBeebies type news/commentary for the rest of the day/evening.

5 days a week, 49 weeks a year.

Message to working class families who can't afford the cost of living: "YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE KIDS IF YOU CAN'T AFFORD THEM!"

Message to middle class families who can't afford the cost of living: "REEVES SHOULD GIVE YOU MORE HANDOUTS TO RUN YOUR UNPROFITABLE BUSINESS"

Fuck off.

Stick to what you listen to/watch now, just understand the motivations of the messenger.

I might get flak for this, but Times Radio is occasionally decent. Adam Boulton usually tells things how they are.
Me too, but where are we to go? Times is crap, BBC unlistenable. I just want serious, unbiased reporting of the facts with a bit of analysis and opinion along the way. What’s the number on the dial? Seriously.🤔

Glad Reeves went in for this ridiculously dodgy industry. As I said, no-one (except maybe the IEA) will complain about it.
November 26, 2025 at 2:35 PM
I completely forgot about Flynn actually.

People talk about Polanski and Farage having political charisma (they do) but Flynn definitely has it too.
November 26, 2025 at 2:16 PM
Stephen Flynn is a legend.

Calling out Shelagh and Zia in one fell swoop.

"One thing I didn't hear him talk about was Nathan Gill, but maybe I missed the start of the conversation."

BOOM.

NEWS FROM THE BUDGET:

There is NOTHING Rachel Reeves could have done to get favourable headlines or reports.

Simple as that.

ZIA YUSUF!

Who else?

Respect to him for giving credit to Labour.

Disappointed at Reid's lazy and inaccurate question.
£26 billion tax rise announced today in Labour's budget

£90 billon, how much tax revenue is lost because of Brexit EVERY Year

The reason taxes are going up and spending is being cut is because we can't afford stuff because of Brexit!
