Yeh, that dye is banned in Europe. This is the reason I avoid most US candy and chips. Thanks to our regulations, Doritos in the UK are really nice and have actual cheese and spices not just chemicals.

The greatest threat Russia presents right now is that it gains more at the negotiation table than it has achieved on the battlefield.

Russia’s maximalist demands cannot be met with a minimalist response.

Had the 2nd of two MMR jabs at my GP surgery last week.

Don't know why we have such a large minority of vaccine resistors.

Everyone should do their bit in the war on preventable diseases.
This is really not good. Measles is so easily caught and so dangerous. If you haven't been vaccinated please ask at your GP surgery - to protect not just you but those around you.
“Seven schools and a nursery have reported more than 60 suspected cases of measles in an area of north London, and labs have confirmed 34 cases since January 12. Some children have been treated in hospital.”

I came into this game thinking I found it care about the outcome, it's a free hit and will be a good run out for the 2nd string.

Now I'm like, wtf is going on? We fielded a team of premier league footballers, & we're being outplayed.

Stop fkn around, & win this thing.

The basic rate of Universal Credit is £316.98 per month for a young person - £74 a week, and £93 if you are over 25.
Try paying for food, clothes, bills, a phone, having any sort of life on that amount.
How dare he downplay poverty.
Reform have totally let the cat out of the bag about who they are.

Sure, but one step at a time.

Also, the tectonic plates of geopolitics have changed, & will not be reversed.

The EU recognises it would be much stronger with the UK as a full member, in a way that was probably not true just 18 months ago.

I'm not saying it would be easy, but there is a path.
One question barely discussed in the UK is how to build the EU constituencies to support the UK to rejoin - if it came to that

The Brits tend to think of EU membership as a pure function of domestic politics.

Closer ties sure but most member-states aren’t dying to have a flaky family member back.
Backing Rejoin would turn the next election into the second Brexit referendum Sir Keir always wanted. It’s the logical step that might give him his best chance of winning.

Actual real life traitor, and MI5 declared national security risk, Priti Patel, is on #bbclaurak this morning talking about how Labour is weak on national security.
I will repost this every time the vile proven bully and national security threat, Priti Patel, appears on TV & the interviewer fails to mention these key points from her recent career history.

#bbclaurak
How on earth is bully, national security risk, and all around nasty bastard, Priti Patel, still involved in UK politics at any level, let alone as shadow home secretary?

This is the kind of well known stat that any Farage interviewer could guess in advance would be needed as a fact check.

And if that is too much for one journo, the BBC should have access to near real time fact checking to help prevent it from becoming an unwitting promoter of misinformation.
#bbcpm
Immigration is a high profile issue & the focus of much of the interview. This was a big claim about the central headline number. I do not think it is a good thing that the BBC is relying on external post-publication challenge many hours after publication on this kind of major false point

FT: "Sir Tony Blair’s think-tank has called on the UK government to reverse its ban on new North Sea exploration licences and scrap the windfall tax on the oil and gas sector".

Anti-trans campaigners will try to spin the High Court’s decision into an absolute victory.

But that’s far from the truth – the findings in this case will require the EHRC’s code of practice to be rewritten.

The richer half of the country actually saw a bigger proportional increase in their benefit income (of 14%) than the poorer half (of 4%) over the past three decades, and the bottom quartile specifically, experienced a real terms fall in benefit income (of 13%).
