If you want a clear sign that the country has definitely gone to shit, it's the popularity of sixty second "micro dramas".

Bubble gum for the eyes of the completely gormless.

Lemon and sugar makes the king of pancakes I reckon.

In the event that it was missed at the time, just dug this out of an old archive. If required, there is an image of the original flyer prior to adding the text box.

In case of any doubt, this was a genuine Conservative Party general election flyer in 2010.

To which I fully acknowledge adding a box of black text.

listen to the Trumpian way that Farage tries to silence my tenacious colleague @annasophiegross.bsky.social

(who was politely asking a reasonable question)
Nigel Farage lashes out at a FT journalist and refuses to answer the question.

Is this how Reform UK would ignore media questions if they got into government?

Made for a great school trip for an 11 year old back in the day, along with the Roman Pavement.
The Roman Pharos (lighthouse) at Dover, still standing after almost 2,000 years! 🤩

It is the tallest surviving Roman structure in Britain, and one of only three surviving lighthouses from the former Roman Empire! Dated 1st-2nd century AD.

Between the ages of 4 to 6, I loved pancakes - especially ones smothered in Nutella. Then one day we ran out of chocolate spread, and someone gave me lemon and sugar.

That was the end of the affair.

I still shudder when I think about it.

One of the more hopeful signs in UK politics is that Reform consistently struggles to poll above the mid-to-high 20s - despite a deteriorating economy, the simultaneous implosion of both the traditional parties and a pet TV station.

Reform is not some unstoppable force. It's eminently beatable.
Reform's polling is ~the lowest its been since last year's local elections

Johnson made this arse a knight of the realm because he reportedly had a great deal of dirt to dish on the clown show PM.

To be fair, John Cleese has been a Brexity racist for many years.

This is just one example from 2019, but there are many more.

Chaser: the 15 minute interview Colbert did with Talarico and posted to YouTube. (The FCC should really know who Barbra Streisand is by now.)

I really don't care either way.
He left Tories because he wanted power and influence (via HoL). You reckon he is going to say 'oh well, that's ok ' being beaten by Jenrick???
February 17, 2026 at 2:56 PM
Suspect the whole tax fraud thing did for him. You can be as racist as you like on the Reform front bench (indeed the more racist the better), but you can't look be a proven corrupt tax dodger.
What about Zahawi. He was the actual chancellor, and he still gets beaten by Honest Bob to the job.

Reform UK will try to frame May as yet another breakthrough.

Whether that happens depends on whether they’re challenged properly, wherever they show up.

One of the UK's go getters.
I'm a man pretending to be a female dominatrix on OnlyFans. Every picture is AI and nobody has noticed despite some obvious mistakes such as one hand has seven fingers and the other has two thumbs. It won't make me rich, but hey, it's easy money.

So corp tax breaks, legal tax dodges on dividends, & significant CGT & IHT breaks on capital gains, & passing on the business, aren't enough?

How do they think the rest of us feel having our knowledge & labour exploited for a relative pittance.

Maybe these whiners should do something else instead.
Just heard some journalist on @bbc5live.bsky.social exclaiming that "businesses don't feel like they are being rewarded for being the engine of growth in the economy and employing workers"

I'm sobbing for them.

You've appointed Tories to your top team. Why should people believe your party is any different?

Farage: "These were two people who were ministers, but frankly weren't ministers for very long".

Suella Braverman was a minister for over 4 years.

Robert Jenrick was a minister for almost 5 years.

'A terminally ill person being coerced' - that is not an in-built feature, indeed it has never been adequately explained how that would even happen under England's plans.

It's not bizarre. The opponents of assisted dying consistently conflate is 'I don't agree with this person's free choice', 'I think this free choice was co-erced' with 'this choice was a mistake', but that is not a convincing argument to most people.

Can very easily design out coercion by for instance, saying that you have to set out end of life wishes far in advance and that you can't choose an assisted death unless you choose to do so far in advance. Can't design out mistaken verdicts in the criminal justice system.

You have to feel sorry for Lee Anderson* - the first Tory to jump ship, and he can't even secure a shadow misisterial position on a par with all the other Tory 'Johnny come lately' failures to join Reform.

*You definitely don't
Reform’s new shadow cabinet team:

Leader: Nigel Farage
Chancellor: Robert Jenrick
Home: Zia Yusuf
Business, Trade & Energy: Richard Tice

We know Melanie Phillips is an out & out Muslim hater, but people often forget she is also a credulous fool & terrible journalist. During her lengthy spell at the Daily Mail, among her many sins, was the promotion of anti MMR vaccine lies, & repeated support for the disgraced Andrew Wakefield.
